To expect DH to shower more than twice a month

As the title goes really. DH has become very shower averse now there is a slight nip in the air, and has confessed to a shower hiatus extending to 12 days Confused. Has dispensed with regular full showers in favour of a 'whores wash' in the sink.

Maintains he is clean, I disagree and thinking of picking him up and putting him in the shower. DAILY. Regardless of screams and tantrums.

I'm not BU am I? Hmm. Unless in fact is a gremlins and melts???

Wtf is a "whores wash" Hmm

And yes I would be pushing him to the shower if he were mine. Bleurgh.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 03/10/2016 22:34

Ask him to put the bins out, then once he's in the garden, turn the hose on him

DetailedConfusion · 03/10/2016 22:35

That's disgusting. He must bloody stink.

austenozzy · 03/10/2016 22:36

Grimy bastard. Fungal infections waiting to happen.

helpimitchy · 03/10/2016 22:36

No shower, no sexytime Grin

IsItJustFuck1ngMe · 03/10/2016 22:37

A 'whores wash'. ... Washing of the armpits and nether regions only .... shudder

I DO like the bins and hose combo .....

GoLightlyHollie · 03/10/2016 22:37

Is this for real? That's fairly gross. A divorceable offence.

switswoo81 · 03/10/2016 22:38

Yuck. I couldn't shower for 10 days after an operation by the end my skin felt itchy was so dirty and my scalp felt sore. Best shower ever at the end!

Gazelda · 03/10/2016 22:38

That's bloody disrespectful to you.

Is he afraid of water, or too lazy to spend 5 mins in the shower, or is your bathroom too chilly for his delicate extremities?

I wouldn't tolerate it.

gaggiagirl · 03/10/2016 22:38

My DH sometimes does this. Washing his nob in the sink daily does not mean he is clean!
I shove him in as often as possible under the premise of having a splash with the toddler. He doesn't smell though to be fair.

IsItJustFuck1ngMe · 03/10/2016 22:39

Absolutely for real. Posting on here to show him responses to prove I am now a 'clean freak' and HE is BU

MrsTerryPratchett · 03/10/2016 22:39

In the sink? How's he getting the arse area? Either poo water is spraying around your bathroom or he isn't getting it at all. And your poor sink!!! Does he throw it in the landfill bleach it afterwards?

imwithspud · 03/10/2016 22:40

Whores wash?? Do explain?Confused

But no YANBU. That's gross. Imagine sharing a bed with someone who only washes twice a month, I couldn't do it. It would also kill off our sex life completely.

PinkSquash · 03/10/2016 22:41

That is vile.

PoldarksBreeches · 03/10/2016 22:41

So only his pits and genitals get sweaty? No dead skin collects in any other crevices? His scalp is self cleaning? His toes have no scum in between them?
Tell him to poke himself in the belly button and sniff his finger. Then see if he thinks he's clean.
I bet he absolutely reeks.

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 03/10/2016 22:41

DP sometimes have two showers in a day.

If my DP didn't wash for a few days he wouldn't be getting into our lovely bed with me.

Washing properly once a fortnight is disgusting

OpheIiaBaIIs · 03/10/2016 22:42

Grim.

DustyOfSkye · 03/10/2016 22:42

Same questions as MrsTerry
Boak.

IsItJustFuck1ngMe · 03/10/2016 22:42

Thanks all. My nagging is falling on deaf ears, he's a good guy all round but this 'quirk' is ermmmmmm

GazingAtStars · 03/10/2016 22:43

God that's fucking disgusting...what a minger

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 03/10/2016 22:43

Whores birth comes from the Latin term cleanus whorus which means to cleans the body in between relations.

Assamassa · 03/10/2016 22:43

Eurgh that's fucking gross

Creampastry · 03/10/2016 22:43

Gross

Crispsheets · 03/10/2016 22:44

Disgusting. I wouldn't share a bed with him. Or a sofa.

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 03/10/2016 22:44

Or a house really
