I mean are they beyond the valley of acceptability upon a stylish foot? Ever?

what if they're really comfortable? And make the wearer want to cry and skip with joy?

Well dm and mil wear them ....

BitOfFun · 20/07/2015 21:12

I think if you like them and they feel great, just bloody wear them. Life is too short for sore feet.

caravanista13 · 20/07/2015 21:12

I'm a pensioner and I wouldn't be seen dead in them!

RepeatAdNauseum · 20/07/2015 21:13

They are too hideous to try on and see if they are comfortable.

And they probably would make me cry if I wore them :P

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 20/07/2015 21:14

Never heard of them. Going to google!

chocolatespiders · 20/07/2015 21:14

I just bought some on the factory site and got them delivered to store I am 39- perfect for work

ouryve · 20/07/2015 21:15

I've seen a few young people wearing them. Some styles (and colours) are less old lady than others.

MrsMook · 20/07/2015 21:15

My feet don't tend to integrate style with comfort, but I have some Hotter shoes which get quite a lot of compliments, and for a pair of heels, they are decent to wear in a job on my feet all day. Win win.

(I'm under 35)

tilliebob · 20/07/2015 21:15

My mum is their biggest fan. She's 67.

Iggi999 · 20/07/2015 21:15

I went into one of their shops recently, lured in by the comfy looking shoes on display. I am mid forties, and my arrival brought the average age in the shop down by miles. One day...

NoArmaniNoPunani · 20/07/2015 21:15

They have the most misleading company name ever. There's nothing remotely hot or hotter about them.

TattyDevine · 20/07/2015 21:16

Some are better looking than others. There are some I wouldn't be seen dead in, but the ones I do have don't have that "hotter" look about them particularly, and they are heaven to wear.

YANBU for asking the question at all!

BitOfFun · 20/07/2015 21:16

There's no reason why they need to look any frumpier than Sketchers or Birkenstocks etc though- it depends what else you are wearing, surely? And as long as you avoid nylon popsocks, I don't see why you'd look like an old lady. I'm just not interested in wearing sandals that give me sore, sweaty blistered feet, so if you have found something that doesn't do that, FGS get them.

chippednailvarnish · 20/07/2015 21:16

My 70 DM says they're for old people Grin

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 20/07/2015 21:16

Well they definitely look like they're designed for comfort! And comfort is no bad thing!

Buy them if you like them. Then wear them with aplomb. Some of the designs are less "classic elderly person" than others.

Iggi999 · 20/07/2015 21:16

Actually there were some higher work-type styles that looked much "younger", now I think of it!

HelenF35 · 20/07/2015 21:18

My podiatrist tried to convince me they were stylish and failed. Now I have to get my foot operated on.

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 20/07/2015 21:18

I'm in my 30s, and I also have bunions. Hotter shoes are so comfortable for me. I think you have to be picky, but some styles are much less old lady than others. Anyway, they allow me to walk around all day and that's worth a compromise on style for me.

BitOfFun · 20/07/2015 21:19

I bought a pair of these in pink. My teenager has actually nicked them Grin

I really, really, REALLY wish someone would realise it's not just oldsters who have wide feet/bunions etc.

I'm only 48 but really struggle nowadays to find comfortable wide fit shoes on the High Street which aren't designed with my Nan in mind.

I would be Hotter's number one customer if the vast majority of their shoes weren't so flipping fugly.

RachelRagged · 20/07/2015 21:20

They are among the ugliest footwear I have ever seen to be honest.

TRexingInAsda · 20/07/2015 21:22

If I could afford any I'd have some. I'm 33.

IvyWall · 20/07/2015 21:23

I'm a fan of M&S Footglove

fastdaytears · 20/07/2015 21:25

My sister is much more trendy than me and 29. She has a couple of pairs of Hotter wedges which look amazing.

My wedges are mostly from Primark so I'll be hobbling around when she's walking happily.
