I have a bit of an addiction for Harry Potter fanfic stories of the non-slash variety

I like potionsandsnitches.com especially but sometimes I venture out into the big wide world of fanfiction

and I have wondered for a while about stories which are adult rated and refer to "non-con" or "chan" sexual relationships between adults and underaged kids (HP and his friends, usually)

shurely these stories are illegal? You can't just write lurid fantasies about child abuse and rape and post them on the net, can you?

And if it isn't illegal, well it bloody well should be

Pfft can you answer a question for me? I have actually only recently started reading fics again, didn't for quite a long time. What is happening to OWL? It seems to be perpertually down but there is stuff on there that isn't elsewhere.

As for OWL, I don't know. It's seems that it's been having problems for ever. As long as I can remember, there have been emails going round my HG/SS email group asking what is going on with OWL

I have forgotten my password and it's so broken it won't send me a new one. Grump. It has got a lot of good stuff though.

MrsMisha, how was Kapow? I've seen lots of pics on my flist today.

It was fun - not the most organised in terms of queuing, and it was a bugger in terms of size (too small, so you couldn't always get into the things you wanted to see) but it wasn't hugely expensive and I had low expectations (wanted to see Merlin panel and the première of Falling Skies, and managed that) I'll probably go along next year, depending on who they have as guests.

I got some nice Merlin-y pictures from after the panel. I'll sort them out and shove them on my LJ in a minute. Or maybe just link them from tinypics, given that only really degenerate people write fanfic

Still dipping into My Immortal whenever I have a free moment. Still sniggering madly.
