Yes, especially boys for some reason.

AlaskaNebraska · 29/07/2010 13:18

oh yes

DS2 likes these. At best: Brazilian street urchin on way to play jugo bonito. More often, just chavtastic.

AlaskaNebraska · 29/07/2010 13:18

vile

proudnsad · 29/07/2010 13:19

Horrible. My mother bought dc one - consigned to charity shop pile.

Eleison · 29/07/2010 13:20

I buy them anyway, though, bcs he likes them and bcs they are sensible in hot weather.

MathsMadMummy · 29/07/2010 13:20

yuk on boys, lovely on girls though if you get nice designs, DD's got some really pretty ones (she's 3)

Fimbo · 29/07/2010 13:20

'orrible. Especially worn with the equally horrible dogtag necklaces.

suitejudyblue · 29/07/2010 13:20

I allow a proper sleeveless basketball top but vests are a definite no go

ArseHolio · 29/07/2010 13:21

Boys yes definatly common but not girls.

AlaskaNebraska · 29/07/2010 13:21

"sensible in hot weather"

they really aren't you know because they should have their shoulders covered

MathsMadMummy · 29/07/2010 13:22

like this one my friend's mum bought her, I don't think it's chavtastic is it?

ArseHolio · 29/07/2010 13:22

thankyou!

deaddei · 29/07/2010 13:22

Horrible things- I too love your name.

domesticsluttery · 29/07/2010 13:22

Yes, again especially boys.

DD has a couple of vest tops and they are quite pretty. But I would never put the boys in them.

It just reminds me of those hideous men who wear vest tops to show off their muscles and tattoos

Coolfonz · 29/07/2010 13:23

My 1 year old boy wears a top hat and a monacle - so you are all massive plebs and are instructed to come to my fields ready for fruit picking at £1/hr at 6am tomorrow! Please meet at Ongar station at 4am promptly.

Alambil · 29/07/2010 13:25

don't be ridiculous - DS has a gorgeous vest with wide shoulders, so still protected. It's a deep orange sunset with an elephant silhouette on it - looks great

LimaCharlie · 29/07/2010 13:25

am shuddering alongside domesticsluttery

AlaskaNebraska · 29/07/2010 13:25

they are shitty though
like those 3/4 lenght sport shorts
ewewew
and women who wear denim shorts and white trainers

ew

My dd's got lots of vests with polka dots and frills on, they are lovely and not at all common.

Now, if they had 'future wag' or the playboy logo emblazoned on the front then that would be a different story.

squeaver · 29/07/2010 13:26

Even worse when combined with gelled up spiky hair.

And a grandma saying "ooh he likes to cool doesn't he?". No, he's 4.

AlaskaNebraska · 29/07/2010 13:27

GELLED HAIR ON BOYS

PosieParker · 29/07/2010 13:27

Maths, not chavvy but a bit high on the neck!! My dd has a wide range of sleeveless tops, I wouldn't say any of them are vests though.
