It wouldn't get replaced in this house. I couldn't afford to. That's reality for you.

Pielight · 31/08/2009 15:37

He's just found it in that tricky inside pocket of his jacket. 'Er, mum. . .'

sherby · 31/08/2009 15:38

he just found it in garden?

roisin · 31/08/2009 15:46

Just seen this Impatient for the update.

Actually - despite the trauma - I think this is a great thing to happen just before starting yr7. Hopefully it will stir him into action and he will listen attentively to parental/teacher lectures about getting himself organised.

Will he have a "lose it and you die" bus pass for next term?

eekamoose · 31/08/2009 15:46

He's lost the replacement money too?

MmeLindt · 31/08/2009 15:49

what? what? Hurry up. I should be doing the ironing.

DS (4yo) reckons you should replace btw. Not sure he really understood the question, he was more interested in his nutella toast.

Pielight · 31/08/2009 15:52

Come on

she's gone to do her ironing Mme Lindt - she's the other one on MN who irons.

brimfull · 31/08/2009 15:53

have just read thread

I am with replace wallet and not the £££

but what happened??

MmeLindt · 31/08/2009 15:57

Are there only 2 of us on MN who iron?

roisin · 31/08/2009 15:59

I iron. I ironed my pyjamas today, cos dh has been away and I didn't want crinkly/wrinkly ones.

sherby · 31/08/2009 16:00

hurry up i'm supposed to be getting the chicken on

Pielight · 31/08/2009 16:00

Yup.

And two others who have bottles of scented lavender ironing water, but never use it

Pielight · 31/08/2009 16:00

Oh and rosin, she does the odd thing now and then.

littlerach · 31/08/2009 16:04

Well....................?

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 31/08/2009 16:22

I'm refreshing here for the update as another adult who loses everything.
ANyone who knows me dreads me ever saying "I put it somewhere safe" they know it will never be seen again.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 31/08/2009 16:28

Getting in line for when we get an update

NoahFence · 31/08/2009 16:34

oh i am SORRY I went into town to take a mens suit back to marks and came back with a HArry Potter dressing up suit.. like ya do.

OK wel he went out wiht his buddies today and buddy was in teh park kickking the bark idly when he said

" hey theres a wallet here"
ds" is it like xyz"
yes it is

IT WAS UNDER THE BARK THE WHOEL TIME CONTENTS INTACT!!

NoahFence · 31/08/2009 16:35

i am going ot insiste that pielight revelas her old posting name

or emails me

roisin · 31/08/2009 16:41

Phew! That's a relief.
Do you think he's learned something from this experience?

btw ds1 also has £££ saved up from birthday/christmas money, and never shows any inclination to spend any of it. I actually have mixed feelings about this. He has a "savings account" too, which is different.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/08/2009 16:42

hurrah and grrr

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 31/08/2009 16:44

So he lost his wallet in the park and it has stayed there all this time?
