For me:

cruising - no, you’re on a cruise

flexitarian - also no, you’re a meat eater

At the moment everything seems to be ‘wholesome’ when describing an activity.

momager22 · 19/09/2026 12:09

‘lensed’ for photographed
I was ‘gifted’ instead of I was given
‘oftentimes’ - eugh

Specialagentblond · 19/09/2026 12:10

Artisanal

ImWearingPantaloons · 19/09/2026 12:11

‘Nourishing’ or ‘nourished’ for me.

it just makes me cringe.

SydneyCarton · 19/09/2026 12:13

“Packed with nutrients/nutrition” can get in the bin

ChasbutnotDave · 19/09/2026 12:26

People on here being told to get on with their day/enjoy their day.
As in, someone posts about something bothering them and are basically told to forget about it and carry on with their day.
I find it really annoying and wanky for some reason.

planespotter71 · 19/09/2026 12:27

I’d say wankiest is a cringy word

Rubyupbeat · 19/09/2026 12:27

Making memories

Justaquestionplease · 19/09/2026 12:27

Sourced

Nourishing as a previous poster said

Lean

Sleep hygiene

Berlinlover · 19/09/2026 12:28

A “cheeky” burger or a “cheeky” pint or whatever.

Agree...also, this packs 20 grams of protein

Lomonald · 19/09/2026 12:29

Im ancient so there is a bit of a list.

Kinda chic! Lit wholesome. Girl dinner
and "come with me" can bugger off.

BunfightBetty · 19/09/2026 12:30

Speaking of items that come in pairs/plural as singular:

A red lip
A pointed boot
A wide leg jean

Fuck off

Lomonald · 19/09/2026 12:30

I also hate the over use of Fresh .

Moneyproblemz · 19/09/2026 12:30

You do you

You dont get to...X/Y/Z

croxible · 19/09/2026 12:31

“covid is a cold” can do one. You can fill Wembley Stadium (and then some) with children suffering from long covid in England.

Morepositivemum · 19/09/2026 12:32

People saying for example they had a gourmet burger with a brioche bun and a side of chunky chips with a craft beer. Chips, burger and a beer but they’d never say that!!

Trallers · 19/09/2026 12:32

I think I'm alone in this but "whimsical" or "whimsy". It sounds so smug and superior (or at least the people using it do!).

notmeaningtoberudebut · 19/09/2026 12:33

Calling someone basic just because of things they do/like.
Doesn't make you a better person just because of your likes/dislikes

Yes this,

#gifted
#prvisit
instead of ‘I pimp my kids out on social media and have no respect for their right to privacy - but hell, it’s worth it for the freebies.’

cupfinalchaos · 19/09/2026 12:38

Reaching out and grabbing a shower.

38thparallel · 19/09/2026 12:38

I agree, gifted is annoying.
During the olympics I found ‘medalled’ for having won a medal very irritating.

ChasbutnotDave · 19/09/2026 12:39

Again something I've only read on here:
"In this house" eg "In this house we don't drink alcohol" or "in this house we get dressed before going downstairs".
