Advertising tag-lines and slogans from the past - what can you remember?

'Course you can Malcolm.' Vicks Sinex
'A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play'. Mars bars
'The chocolate and a half.' Cadbury's Dairy Milk

'Harp. Stay sharp to the bottom of the glass' Harp lager.

'Distinctly minty' Either Fox's Glacier mints or Nuttall's Mintoes.

In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry has been used in at least two ads that I remember. HP Fruity Sauce in the 1970s and Kellog's Toasted Farmhouse Bran in the 1980s.

My playing 'Tasty, Tasty, Very Very Tasty' that on YouTube prompted my husband to lament on the poor quality of modern advertising compared to 40 years ago. I quite agree - there are no memorable jingles any more.

Not sure it counts, but 'In the Summertime' was also used in a 'Don't Drink and Drive' public information ad...

Again not an advert but some decades ago, TV viewers oop North could, "Call YTV's Christmas Line on Leeds 448199'. I still remember the tune!

'The better way to shop and save.' I'm fairly certain this was Morrison's but might have been Hillard's (showing my age).
