Omg I shagged the vicar

BC for this one!!

last summer I moved to a new village with my 2 teen DC’s following my divorce. I’ve made a real effort to integrate into village life and joined a cycling group which I love.

a couple of new members joined a few months ago, one of whom is the vicar from a nearby parish. He’s 39 single. I’m 43.

on Friday we all met for drinks snd I ended Ho inviting a group back to my house. Kids are away with their dad. We all had a few more drinks at my house before people started heading home. There’s been a little bit of flirtation between me and the vicar and it ended up just me and him- we had some more wine and he was being very complimentary and was clearly trying it on. We ended up kissing and I’m afraid that I ended up shagging him on my kitchen sofa. Very out of character for me.

im now mortified that I have to see him at cycle meet this week. My friends think it’s hilarious but im worried he’ll think I’m loose and common. 😲

Good for you! You're both single 😊

Ethelrogers · 31/08/2026 13:23

Ah, get in! And if you are loose and common, then so is he!

twilightcafe · 31/08/2026 13:24

Even if he does think you are 'loose' ... I bet he wasn't thinking that on your sofa 😆😆

Frankly, if he does - that says more about @him than you.

friedaklein · 31/08/2026 13:24

Is that you, Dame Jilly? 😁

LlynTegid · 31/08/2026 13:24

You have a male vicar? Most that age are women .

You are Phoebe Whaller-Bridge!

SethAndReubenTooSendGaloshes · 31/08/2026 13:25

You're worried HE will think YOU are 'loose and common'? Surely he's the one who is supposed to be sexually conservative, not you? I absolutely abhor this sexual double standard that some women apply to themselves far more than the average man does

ChasingRainbow5 · 31/08/2026 13:25

Do you think he’s loose and common?

I’m assuming you don’t so why should he think that about you?! Another one saying good for you 😊

EspressoWarrior · 31/08/2026 13:26

Did you yell “Oh my god!” as you reached your ‘pinnacle’?
I’m sure he’d have judged you for that.

mummypigoink · 31/08/2026 13:27

If you’re loose and common, WTF does that make the man whose literal day job is the moral welfare of his parishioners?

Good for you to get some fun!!!!

DramaAlpaca · 31/08/2026 13:28

Good for you! Channel your inner Fleabag and enjoy your hot priest Wink

101Alsatians · 31/08/2026 13:28

'BC for this one!'

I hope you did indeed use birth control 🤣

MyballsareSandy2015 · 31/08/2026 13:29

Are vicars allowed to do that … thought sex before marriage was a sin.

Regardless, sounds fun OP 🤣

IronEverything · 31/08/2026 13:33

I'd rather be "loose and common" than be the type of person who would use that phrase, to be honest.

Bluenotgreen · 31/08/2026 13:36

You are both single so I can’t see the problem.

Do you want to shag him again? Do you think there could be a future in it?

Vitrolinsanity · 31/08/2026 13:37

B-limey!

How did you manage to turf the cat off the kitchen sofa though?

It’s a bit ‘more v vicar’ than more tea.🤣

OrneryWorld · 31/08/2026 13:46

Well you've certainly integrated into the community 😂

I think you need to move 1000 miles away and all change your identities. Stay indoors until at least 2036 and you may stand a chance of going on to lead a full and purposeful life after that.

OR

You can just pretend everything is perfectly fine and all that's changed is you now know how big the vicars knob is 🤔

HoldMyWine · 31/08/2026 13:46

Have you seen / heard from him since? All sounds pretty reasonable of you’re both single and attracted to each other.

heyholdtheline · 31/08/2026 13:46

Praise be!

AllMyExesWearRolexes · 31/08/2026 13:47

Kitchen sofa? Missing the point I know...

BunnyLake · 31/08/2026 13:48

Crikey it’s been decades since I heard a woman worry she might be seen as ‘loose or common’ after a casual shag. Did you time slip from the 70s?

Kitchen sofa? Missing the point I know...

Haha I thought about that too! Must be a nice, big kitchen to accommodate a sofa.
