Perdy is doing little but sleep in this weather (also she’s getting to be an old girl) so here’s some Al Pacino tax. No, not that one…
Al is at the dog’s home. It looks like he’s been used in some form of dog fighting or other unethical practice - he has lots of scars, a missing chunk of nose and a terrible limo due to an old leg injury (awaiting x rays to see if it can be improved at this stage). He’s the gentlest, sweetest soul imaginable though and is beginning to have the confidence to lean in for fusses once he knows you.

We successfully avoided any difficult political conversations on our trip to visit family Oop North. (And there was air conditioning on the train!). Betty clearly thought we were going to take her with us though.

Some gnarly bark tax and I also have a lacewing.

Here’s my cat tax, a photo of Lightning once again. Sadly, he’s now been diagnosed by the vet as potentially having the Herpes virus, because of his constant eye infections, always the same eye. He’s also developing a bare patch from all the rubbing. It’s really sad, he’s only 10. The vet says it can’t be cured, if it’s that. 😢

Thank you for the new thread, @DuncinToffee. I was following the discussion about the attack on the disabled on the previous thread. It’s flipping scary having a DD with additional needs who will always need extra support. 😢

Sad cat tax from me. This little monkey died yesterday aged 18. She spent most of her life in next door's stables having taken a dislike to our then resident cat. Imagine a tiny kitten back arched, tail erect hissing furiously at an adult cat who is trying hard to ignore it and just get to her favourite chair.

So sorry Countrygirl. Didn't you lose another animal recently? It is hard when they go.
