Imagine being vile enough to think this let alone post it on social media, I imagine the 2.5k likes are the sort of people who have put laughing emojis on posts about the poor man. He leaves a widow and two small children and a wider family and friends. These people have no humanity, also see Jenrick 😔

I am sure a lot of them are bots, same as the excessively cruel fuckers on MN. That is what I tell myself.

I accidentally clicked on one of the many MN threads about him and it was like AI was talking to itself, with interjections by those who have probably never set foot in a university in their lives.

I’m staying well away from those threads and the Pip ones. I’d probably get banned because I wouldn’t be able to sit on my hands.

@TemperanceWest I hope you’re right, but I wish there was a will to do something about it, a lot of our problems in this country are due to this constant tide intended to sow division. I even saw an idiot on Facebook today claiming “boat people” were trying to land in Rhyl and another claiming that the Stourbridge fires had been caused by laser weapons so “they” could control us and tell us what to do.

I'd tell them not to worry, if 'boat people' were trying to land in Rhyl they would soon get back on their boat and get the hell out of there. It's a dump.

People were on the whole laughing at him and asking where he thought they would have rowed from 🙄 but people of below average intelligence aren’t always questioning this rubbish, as witness the scenes on the East Coast when the charity rowers were labelled as “boat people”.

Worse, much worse. There was a thread about immigrants last week that made me feel dirty just reading it.

I haven't been on X for ages but I just opened the app to see what's going on. First thing I saw was Zia Yusuf talking about the hosepipe ban. I don't follow him so don't know why he popped up. What a bloody idiot. It's a good thing he's never getting into government (I hope).

Singapore is a small, crowded island with only tiny rivers to speak of.

I avoid stuff like that on MN as much as possible, thankfully you can see from the thread title where a thread is likely to go most of the time.

I opened one of those threads and wished I hadn’t. It really was vile. I don’t even understand why they’re still frothing, as the poor man is dead.

Well Tice thinks Dubai is an excellent model of how to run a country - so we could be like those one day perhaps!

I sometimes think geography knowledge, or where the U.K. is actually positioned, is in short supply on the right - like making food deals with the US and Oz is better than having deals with the EU - similarly worker visas around the world are more beneficial than folk working under freedom of movement 🤔

There have been several. It's prurient obsession like The Salt Path threads but didn't stop when he died, which tells us a lot about those people.

It's ghastly, like something straight out of a Dickens' novel, except he's obviously parodying them.
