A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Putin will be loving this !

Yes he will. Especially since Labour watered down their pledge on oil and gas sanctions.

The more I read about what happened to Henry Nowak, the more angry I become. 🤬

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary sought to release a public statement to address what it described as “disinformation” circulating online while court proceedings were at a critical point against Vickrum Digwa.
However, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) advised the force that such a step could risk jeopardising the “integrity” of the case.

The Sunday Times can also reveal that the force wanted to portray Nowak as the aggressor in an official statement three days after his death, but changed their wording after outrage from his grieving family.

This is so upsetting and wrong.

I saw that last night but there isn't a proper explanation of that headline?

SapphireCasino · 07/06/2026 09:37

Just to add, a lot of information about the killer (and his family) is pretty awful

I won't say shocking because it's predictable now, that these sorts of people are known to police

That would certainly be a factor in why they would want to alter information

But that's quite an accusatory headline and it doesn't seem to have anything to pack it up?

EasternStandard · 07/06/2026 09:41

I suppose it relates to the CPS warning on the integrity of the case.

Just hearing Rishi Sunak in Times. His ideas are so much better than what we have now. What a miss. People voted for bollard and co for what

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 07/06/2026 09:46

Watching Trevor Phillips and Lammy.

So apparently when Lammy used the phrase ‘righteous anger’ about George Floyd was ok, but when JD Vance used it now it wasn’t.

He’s trying to weasel out.

I'm not sure what you mean?

My reading of it from the article is that the police force wanted to release info early to try and cover their own arses, even though it could have put the trial in jeopardy.
There was obviously a lot of stuff online at that point which they describe as "disinformation".

Perhaps we'll find out what that info was further down the line.

Sorry I missed that. I always feel the same when I hear him.

Hypocrite, they all are.

They really are. Enraging.

Listening to someone Labour who leant on Kemi Badenoch and used her line as a way to deal with this. She really should be PM next, they can l learn from her.

And beyond that said nothing but usual waffle, had to switch off.

Pacificsunshine · 07/06/2026 10:17

I’ve been reflecting on how we got into this mess. Financial and social mess.

I think it all comes back to single issue, special interest, pressure groups. The effect of BLM, Transactivists, Greta Thumberg, etc. has been bad for our purse and social fabric. Goodness knows what the problems the Pro Pali groups will lead us to.

The special pleading is always so virtuous and persuasive that no political party can resist. The general public are distracted with a myriad of issues and problems and never exert a countervailing force. Now and then some old duffer tries to point out the dangers and argue for common sense, but gets pooh poohed as an old meanie, aka cancelled.

It feels like a one way ratchet.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 07/06/2026 10:18

It’s surreal.

VD Vance used Lammy’s words back at him, it was so funny to watch Lammy tying himself in knots trying to justify his stance now.

Edited

Agree, she should.
She has felt more like the PM than bollard has this week. He's been pathetic.

Sorry, derail but @ChardonnaysBeastlyCat - you were right about the parakeet coming back with friends. I've got bloody loads of them visiting now.
I can hardly hear myself think when they're all squawking outside.

I know!

There’s no such thing as a lonely parakeet.

Commiserations.

They love the tree outside, which unfortunately is right by the window to my home office. 🙄
Makes for some interesting teams calls.

You can try to shop them away for a moment, they will be back though.

But they are fickle and will move on soon. Hopefully!

EasternStandard · 07/06/2026 11:11

Claire Coutinho acknowledges two tier, the police race action plan says treat people differently. Also in wider non policing.

Which leads to Southport, Manchester Arena and Henry Nowak major oversights that lead to deaths.

Labour keep repeating two tier doesn’t exist so if they can’t see it say the problem how can they fix it?

Kemi is right on all this.

Nuthatch26 · 07/06/2026 11:30

Labour keep repeating two tier doesn’t exist so if they can’t see it say the problem how can they fix it?

They know it exists, but won't admit it as they don't want to address it. Denying the bleedin obvious won't help them.

Nuthatch26 · 07/06/2026 11:32

But let's focus on Nigel Farage, thats far more important and pressing according to leftworld. 🙄

OP posts:

Yep. The document says treat people differently, it’s what two tier policing is.

Labour are so bad and alone on this.

Lammy is an idiot isn’t he. I’m pretty sure he’s trying to secure the we said no lines to Vance (which is a side event) but he’s totally oblivious to public sentiment for Henry’s death.

Totally clueless and grasping for political points.
