Things you love, which most people hate!

As we have a thread about popular things we hate, I thought it might be fun to hear about the opposite.

Unpopular things that I think are great include:
Bagpipes
The deeply unfashionable Fairport Convention
Pickled gherkins/ onions/ beetroot/ cabbage!

I draw the line at pickled eggs. I was given one in error at the chippy once, and namely tried it. It was like trying to bite into a bouncy ball.

Black pudding
Haggis
Tony Blair

I can get on board with people loving rats and pigeons but Tony Blair 😳 - surely not!

I love taking the bins out. Makes me feel grownup and responsible. My neighbour calls me the Binfluencer because mine are always out first. Makes me insanely proud.

Staying at home for days or weeks or even months. Bliss!

Leaving my hair wet to dry naturally. Not used a hairdryer for 40 yrs.

Being on my own for 90% of my week.

I have been drying my hair naturally since I was a teen. I refuse to use heat on it, and it's down to my bum right now.

Also like being home all the time!

I don't find most adults hate onions, beetroot or cabbage.

I am the only person in my house that likes rhubarb, gooseberries, mushrooms or prunes though. Not altogether, mind 😊

I love Enid Blyton, mint chocolate and hymns. I loved my school assemblies and singing a hymn every morning for 13 years. I actually think it’s a wonderful start to the day and I’m not even religious. was so surprised when my DC went to school and this was no longer a thing! I don’t think I would ever admit this to anyone in real life.

I also love rhubarb, gooseberries, mushrooms and prunes! I used to get told off as a child for eating the cooking apples raw as well.

@thinkingaboutipswich I love the traditional hymns (I'm not Christian) because they are beautiful and nostalgic. I used to be the teacher who took hymn practice.

Also my favourite. When I was a child I assumed everyone loved them because my mum and I used to argue who got to eat them! My husband is genuinely appalled by this though and thinks it’s tantamount to brainwashing, but he likes white chocolate so his opinion counts for nothing.

I used to argue with my dad about them when I was a child ☺️ the rest of the family were happy to let us have them. White chocolate is the devil’s work…

Came here to say the same.

Yeah me too.
I'm Catholic, love the peace that following my religion gives to me.

BTW what are coffee creams? Not sure I've heard of them before.

Another unpopular like of mine... is my straggly hair, which is currently down to my bum.
