Things you love, which most people hate!

As we have a thread about popular things we hate, I thought it might be fun to hear about the opposite.

Unpopular things that I think are great include:
Bagpipes
The deeply unfashionable Fairport Convention
Pickled gherkins/ onions/ beetroot/ cabbage!

I draw the line at pickled eggs. I was given one in error at the chippy once, and namely tried it. It was like trying to bite into a bouncy ball.

Winter

DH is a gamer (although not to excess) and a good husband. He saved up and bought himself a PS5 when it came out. I've tried to learn, but am not particularly coordinated and really have zero interest. It's a nice thing for him to do with DD 20 though. When he's doing that, I enjoy reading, braining myself of YouTube (music and true crime) and making things. We have an ancient Wii, which all of used used to play on, and which still comes out occasionally.

Sobriety. Ex drinker. People assume I wish I was still drinking but god I absolutely love being sober 🧡

Coffee creams, I wish they would put them back in selection boxes (although admittedly I have never known anyone else who likes them!)
Rainy days, they are cosy and comforting. Much prefer rain to hot weather.

Green and yellow fruit pastilles/ sweets in general. I assume most people like them a bit but they’re definitely sidelined compared to the red/ purple ones.

The green ones are my favourite!

I seem to be one of the very rare people who actually likes long, detailed OPs on MN.

So many people complain that they can't be faffed reading anything more than a brief summary - but you don't have to read any of it or engage in the first place if you don't want to!

Instant coffee. Much prefer it to fresh.

In 2012 I developed migraine. I discovered that one of my triggers was alcohol. I'm not a huge drinker but found that a small amount would set me off. I was more irritated (as it seems to be in everything if eating out) that I couldn't have cheese
