Michael Jackson stories

After the new film has come out. Does anyone have any stories of meeting Michael Jackson or hearing about someone you know meeting him?

One year Michael Jackson came to live in Ireland for a time. It was after his trial was over. I think he was in Ireland between 6 months to a year.
I lived in Ireland near to where he stayed for a length of time. He went to our local cinema and the child play area. I know a man that worked with MJ in Ireland. He said that he was very nice and that he was a really, really good father. That was it really.

Anyone have any other stories?

Why though? I think that's what the PP was getting at.

What do you mean why though. I have said why. He is a big topic of conversation at the moment, as the film about him is out.

And we have had loads of threads on mumsnet before

saying:

"Tell me stories about when you met a celebrity in real life. What were they like".

He went to the 'child play area'? Did he have a child with him?
I have no stories about meeting him, thank God, as I would've ran a mile. Especially if I'd had my young daughters with me, although maybe they'd have been safe with them not being young boys.

Yes he had a child with him. :) He was a father to three children of his own.

We all know he’s guilty. Lots of guilty people get away with things.

You’d only know if he was guilty if you’d been abused by him. Don’t believe stories you hear

Don’t forget the allegations that have surfaced since his death.

You mean "since the movie is on track to make a billion dollars". Funny that 🤦‍♂️🤔🙄

Are you serious??

ETA: And actually, no, I literally did mean since his death.

Loved the film! How amazing would it have been to have met this amazing kind man! I have always believed his innocence! He is innocent and I can listen to his music with happiness! Finally his legacy is getting the recognition he deserves! I absolutely love him and proudly so do my kids!

‘Course he did 😂

I don’t have any Michael Jackson anecdotes, but if we’re talking about creepy pervs in general, my next door neighbour was on Jim’ll Fix It.

Yes the people that think that MJ is a child abuser, look at the difference between him and Jimmy Saville! MJ was also amazing with animals, he just didn’t have any bad bone in his body and was torn apart, jimmy saville on the other hand makes me feel sick to the stomach and always did!

Rolf Harris was well known for getting weepy over sick cats and dogs on Animal Hospital 🙄🙄🙄🙄

The delusion is real!

You’re wasting your energy, MJ fans will defend him no matter what.
Im with you, he was clearly a pedophile.

I’m not delusional, there is a big difference between! I feel so bad for you, and remember Michael was found NOT Guilty on all counts! I do believe Rolph was sent to prison 🤔 so…

So was OJ Simpson

Besidemyselfwithworry · Yesterday 21:58

Would people go to a Rolf Harris art exhibition?
Gary glitter songs are banned on most radio channels
however our local theatre have some MJ tribute act coming and there’s been a lot on local social media saying how in-appropriate it is - I agree and I absolutely wouldn’t pay to go and see someone pretending to be a dead paedophile

AnnieApples · Yesterday 22:04

I find Michael Jackson fans, the devoted, unquestioning ones, are a bit, er, odd.

Don’t forget the allegations that have surfaced since his death.

You mean the ones by a man who was witness for the defence during his trial? By a man who only decided he’d been abused by MJ when he was sacked by the MJ estate? Who then decided to sue the estate instead of going to the police?
