Where was the most boring place you ever visited?

Just that. Interested to see if anyone says what I'm thinking...

Do you mean a town/city or an attraction?

I mean I've sat in some very boring car parks waiting for kids over the years, but I assume that's not what you meant?

Nomedshere · 25/01/2026 13:33

Bognor Regis

TigerRag · 25/01/2026 13:34

Newport, Wales

Knitterofcrap · 25/01/2026 13:35

Are you going to say Center Parcs? It’s not for me as I hate getting wet and can’t ride a bike…

Fodencat · 25/01/2026 13:37

Milford, Co Cork

santasbaubles · 25/01/2026 13:37

Valencia was dull, dull, dull. Also a week in rural Austria nearly tipped me into depression and made me realise I am not into scenery as the focal point of a holiday.

TomatoSandwiches · 25/01/2026 13:38

A Lenny Henry comedy night near Windsor summer of 2006.

Chiefangel · 25/01/2026 13:38

Natural history museum. Cannot understand why people rave about it.

Heyhelga · 25/01/2026 13:39

Milton Keynes. The centre felt depressingly sterile with no real local identity.

NinePoppadomsAndASaagAloo · 25/01/2026 13:39

The Post Office museum

Edit: I might mean Royal Mail. Either way 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheMateofOphelia · 25/01/2026 13:39

Stonehenge

CuriousKangaroo · 25/01/2026 13:40

Brussels.

Statsquestion2 · 25/01/2026 13:40

Iceland…very underwhelming unfortunately

Hoppinggreen · 25/01/2026 13:40

Redcar
Not even shitty enough to be scary

Arlanymor · 25/01/2026 13:41

Do you mean a place, like a town/city or an attraction, like a museum? Presumably the latter because even towns/cities have shops, cafes, pubs, etc.

NetflixWithoutFriendsIsWrong · 25/01/2026 13:42

Lol I meant a holiday destination. I would actually love to visit Centre Parcs but I only do holidays solo and I would look and feel very odd going to such a family orientated place alone!

I remember arriving in a town in Germany as a child once on a Sunday and it being totally and beyond dead as everything was closed. I think it was Aachen.

Meadowfinch · 25/01/2026 13:43

An ex once took me to a Porsche Owners Club event. Christ on a bike, dozens of mind numbingly dull men discussing braking systems and turbos. 😂

Merluzzo · 25/01/2026 13:43

Didcot Railway centre.

I went there with some friends once and I didn’t feel out of place with no kids with me.

Meadowfinch · 25/01/2026 13:44

Oh, a holiday destination....Dominican Rebublic. Definitely.

Imperfectpolly · 25/01/2026 13:44

Turkey

ClareVoiance · 25/01/2026 13:45

@Handeyethingyowl But you went with friends. PP said solo.

skippy67 · 25/01/2026 13:45

Cornwall. Closely followed by Devon.

user2848502016 · 25/01/2026 13:46

Carnac in France, drove about an hour to get there and it’s literally just a field full of fairly small stones!
