Where was the most boring place you ever visited?

Hervey Bay in Australia is our running joke as the most boring destination (and a particularly awful night in a youth hostel). We went there to visit Fraser Island, which was worth visiting, but the town of Hervey Bay was dire.

Dubai.

Lanzarote

The spa is nice. The only times I've ever been were with a group of friends for a spa break/day

My vote would be Sedan, in France. The castle was totally underwhelming.

Launceston. It was shut.

Madeira. So so boring. Over 20 years ago but jeez nothing there. Awful food. Went out of season so it was uk weather too.

Its my absolute favourite place but now because of my hernia and my child's lifelong illness we can no longer go, so instead we watch tours on YouTube from the comfort of the sofa! Perfect!

Stranraer. I wasn’t actually visiting, I was trying to get home and my ferry was delayed. So I had several hours to spare wandering around, trying to find something to eat and something to do. I think it might have been a Sunday, just to make matters worse. I have never been so bored in my life. But, to be fair, I was very stressed, so I can’t imagine anywhere being particularly diverting. No offence to the inhabitants of Stranraer. The town was not there for my entertainment and it served me well on my numerous trips from NI to Scotland back in the 1990s/early 2000’s.

Ring of Kerry. Admittedly rained but Scotland and North Wales have better scenery without a flight.

Northern Spain with young children. Very rural but not much to do for little ones.

Sightseeing place: Stonehenge. HUGELY overrated

Holiday type place: Prestatyn. North Wales. Boring as fuck. Nothing to do.

The Louvre. I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t queued for 2 hours in freezing cold rain to get in.

Would you mind elaborating? I am a Winter Woman and absolutely hate heat. I would choose Alaska, Canada, NYC in February etc etc. You'd think Iceland would be high on the list... but for some reason (nothing to do with expense) Iceland just doesn't grab me and I don't know why!

Bude in Cornwall. Beach is simply glorious but the town is a dump of epic proportions.

Florence, closely followed by Rome! I just couldn’t get excited about the things I was supposed to get excited about!

Lol I took my kids to Pontins there when they were little which was a shit hole ,the most exciting place was a trip to Asda for food 😅
