Virginia Giuffre (TW: suicide)

It’s being reported that Virginia Roberts Giuffre has died by suicide.

I hope Prince Andrew’s shady supporters won’t try to make hay from this. They’ve been revolting recently about her evident trauma.

That’s certainly what some people wanted us to believe. And now she’s taken her life so it all makes sense right? Hmm. I don’t believe any of it.

"Some people" you mean her family? Her estranged children and husband I assume?

What is not to believe?

Drummergirl1971 · 26/04/2025 05:20

People that accuse powerful people of terrible things often seem to die of suicide…

Maybe, in some cases, they crack under the huge pressure they’re put under, but I think you need to have a certain strength of character to make that kind of public accusation and it does seem to happen a lot

Poire · 26/04/2025 05:33

Poor woman she was clearly not well when she made the comment about only having four days to live. I hope being called out on the inaccuracies and her reliability being questioned did not impact her decision to take her life. I’m assuming it sadly did.

I feel desperately sad for her children

RIP

Butchyrestingface · 26/04/2025 05:48

The four days to live claim was the exaggerated/inaccurate product of a troubled mind but unfortunately turned out to be not hugely off - more like four weeks. Sad

It's beyond comprehension how this could bring 'peace' to anyone - other than perhaps one member of the Royal Family. He'll no doubt be using this as a way to means and wangle his foot back in the door.

What a sad, troubled life this poor woman had. Her penultimate Insta posts indicated she was estranged from her children. I hope they are well supported now. It will be such a hard thing for them to come to terms with.

Harassedevictee · 26/04/2025 05:53

What a sad piece of news. My heart goes out to her children and family.

I am not surprised, as I initially thought the original 4 days to live reporting was a failed suicide attempt.

There are a lot of powerful people, primarily men, who should be held to account for what they did to Virginia, and others, but they won’t.

I hope Virginia is at peace.

He’s already well and truly back in the door - the king clearly doesn’t care less about what he’s done as he’s been fully accepted back into appearing at church services etc. Lovely guy 🙄

And why did he cut off his allowance last year then?

I hope it brings peace to her family.

Quite the opposite really. Years and years of hell and utter sadness. Be careful with flippant comments like this.

Poor kids and she has been through alot.

Someone is going through an awful lot of trouble to shut them all up though...

rubicustellitall · 26/04/2025 06:07

I hope she now finds peace in sleep, she just couldn't fight anymore I guess. Bless her.

Middlechild3 · 26/04/2025 06:08

SpidersAreShitheads · 26/04/2025 03:44

No, she wasn’t.

There was a very minor incident where a car she was in clipped a bus bumper but didn’t cause any damage. Virginia then posted a photo of herself, allegedly in hospital, saying basically that a bus had ploughed into her and she had 4 days left to live. Lots of indications to suggest the photo had been heavily doctored and independent facts didn’t seem to back up her version of events.

In her post, she said she was ready to die but wanted to see her children one last time.

No one knows what that whole bus episode was about - and there was lots of backtracking/changing the story attempted afterwards when she was very patently not in the critical state she claimed - but at the time, it did feel like a desperate attempt to get her kids to see her.

She was estranged from her kids, and there was a restraining order in place preventing her from contacting her husband.

No idea what’s been going on in her life tbh, but it certainly seems that she was a troubled soul, with her problems just spiralling.

Absolutely not saying any of this to be malicious, but I think it’s important to be clearheaded, and not ignore uncomfortable truths just because of a tragedy. And it is such a tragedy - it seems that she never found peace or happiness. Really bloody sad.

Then why is GM still alive?

PhaseFour · 26/04/2025 06:15

What @Tubs11said. The finality of this situation - knowing that there is no opportunity for them to make their peace with their mum at a time when they might have felt ready to do so at some future point - I can't imagine how traumatic that must be. Not to mention their initial and lifetime trauma of knowing what their mum went through from a very young age. Add in the media frenzy over her death...it's unimaginable how they must feel.

What a brave lady and how very tragic. Hopefully all of those who had a part in this feel ashamed.

They won't 😔

XWKD · 26/04/2025 06:22

This woman's death is a horrible tragedy. That she thought suicide was her best option is heart-breaking. I would like to think that her detractors would see her death in this light, but I know many won't.

A decent man (Andrew) would have helped the FBI with their enquiries. A decent King would have made him. Both are neither - indeed they parade him around at family occasions - the stark reality of sexual abuse - lives ruined. RIP Virginia - may her tormentors rot in hell.

Lampzade · 26/04/2025 06:26

Suppose Andrew will sleep well tonight ….

I agree. The day the Queen bailed Andrew out willingly was the day the Monarchy lost. She was as complicit as her son,yet we are told we must remember Andrew was never charged with anything! I hope the power they hold is worth it to them cos in the moral and decency stakes they have none that is all they have power.

BadSkiingMum · 26/04/2025 06:27

Awful news and extremely sad that Ms Giuffre (I would like to give her the respect of a title, after everything that has happened) became estranged from her family.

I suspect that Andrew’s days in the Royal Family will be numbered once William comes to the throne.

Not a flippant comment at all. I speak from personal family experience (not related to Virginia).

our extended family have gone through hell the last 17 years and that’s without media intrusion.

Absolutely agree there is huge sadness and continual questioning what (if) could have made things any different or better.

People and families can only do so much though.

There’s obviously more going on with VG’s life and thus her husband had to take steps to protect their children.

That’s similar to what happened in our family case too, and the adult was put back under *’ care.

They then transferred from one treatment to another, grasping on the hope this just might be it…. in the meanwhile the patient once out of one system makes allegations of misconduct and the immediate family are rocketed again into the unknown… doesn’t mean they love the person any less, but it takes it toll on family members.

I hope that makes some sort of sense.

Lampzade · 26/04/2025 06:32

Lady Victoria Hervey is a heartless human being . She has commented on this death by stating that ‘when your lies catch up with you there is no way out’
I always thought that VH was a pointless waste of space . What a cruel woman

He said he would they could come to him only a very stupid person would go to America for a conversation with the FBI

They have plenty of their own citizens to speak to who attended the island more often and chose not to I don't see Clinton etc being interviewed
