Bonnie Blue -sex positivity or old fashioned shame?

mids2019 · 18/01/2025 05:49

Bonnie Blue.....just why?

I guess we have a woman that has made a lot of money and notoriety out of an act but I really can't see this as being a positive really. I guess it does highlight the age old question whether we should be against at female promiscuity or not be judgemental about how a woman use her body but it does seem rather crass.

Anyway I prefer other world records perosnally.

I am guessing she came from a.poor family? (Maybe not?!).

I wonder if poverty of Bonnie and her family had an influence on what they felt was morally allowable in the pursuit of a lifestyle they would never have dreamed of through traditional career options?

OP with respect your hypothesis are a bit lacking in structure. She went to private school and came from a middle class background.

@skiingisheaven

My DH said "god, I hope she's OK"

That's what a decent man sounds like, sorry. Insulting a woman isn't decent.

Really? She's not fallen over and broken her leg. Personally I find his response a bit weird!

SkiingIsHeaven · 18/01/2025 07:29

I asked my husband what he thought about her and he said that he thought she was a repugnant cum bucket.

I'm glad that there are still decent men around.

I also can't believe the number of men in that timeframe. It's one every 43 seconds.

She's not doing herself any favours and I think she will regret it in the future.

The previous record breaker was interviewed and she said that she really regretted the stunt.

It makes me feel sick. I don't think it's empowering at all. She is naive and deluded.

A decent man calling woman a cum bucket 😂
Also it’s cute that you think anyone cares what your husband thinks

SallyWD

That's interesting.

I guess it would be unpleasant maybe painful (and smell?) but you could argue that people do John's that involve a lot of unpleasantness for a lot less than 3M?

I agree to my mind it's unnatural but how do you define natural.... that is why I thought the moral angle was interesting as personal and social moriality. acts a 'brand's on such behaviour.

Yes I do agree that many people will be viewing it and judging it from a moral perspective. It's just that I'm not and it's more like "Why the hell would someone do that to their body". Obviously the £3 million pounds is a massive incentive but I think there's more to it. Fame, publicity? I don't know. The whole thing is weird and unpleasant.

mids2019 · 18/01/2025 08:28

It's interesting the comments about the men as I suppose the men could be viewed as engaging in sexual activity freely offered and even though the coincidences to my mind are pretty revolting does that necessarily make the men 'vile'. Isn't that is use of judgmental? (Though I do as a person judge and I yes I find their behaviour repugnant but I accept that is my personal opinion)

I don’t - I think it’s natural to enquire after someone’s welfare when they’re doing something so out of the ordinary for someone of a sound mind.

IDontHateRainbows · 18/01/2025 08:29

Out of morbid curiosity I saw a leaked clip of the other one Lily doing a hard day at 'work' bd it was absolutely disgusting, 5 men surrounding her on a bed whilst every orifice and everything that could be used to penetrate an orifice was deployed. She didn't seem so empowered then
And not a condom in sight either. Walking petri dish.

mids2019 · 18/01/2025 08:30

I think it would make a good black mirror episode and the this morning interview almost reached a point of the surreal.

OP posts:
lkpomnlkoinm · 18/01/2025 08:30

It's 3 million but ultimately any woman could do it, whilst she is undoubtedly beautiful, any woman, however she looked, could go out and do the shocking things she's doing to make a shit ton of money but most women would choose not to no matter the payment. There is nothing special about her (in this context, I'm sure she has other redeeming qualities!) except her lack of boundaries, thus nothing to be admired or supported.

Utterly pathetic. The Pankhursts will be rolling in their graves!

AccountCreateUsername · 18/01/2025 08:34

Anabel chong did something similar in the 90s. There’s nothing empowering about putting oneself in that scenario. Who even calls this empowerment. I think I’ve missed that bit…

I just can't imagine most people's reaction to this story, whether it be male or female is instantly one of concern. Shock tends to be quite a normal reaction I'd have thought and a bit of disgust for all concerned.

Restassure · 18/01/2025 08:40

i understand your dilemma. I am a self-confessed raging feminist. I struggle with ‘well women can do what they please with their bodies’ (which I do believe) against my gut reaction that this isn’t empowering at all. These men don’t care, value or respect you. I think her need for sex is a need for their approval, which is sad. She seems vulnerable and in need of mental health support. Her actions and beliefs all stem from wanting to impress men IMO.

It is interesting that she is getting far more backlash than the men involved though. 1 woman who does this to this level, it’s so rare which is why it’s headlining. 100 men willing to participate? That’s a very widespread issue.

Mrsttcno1 · 18/01/2025 08:47

I think broadly it would be healthy & positive for women to have someone who was confident and comfortable to “promote” (if thats the word) that it’s absolutely okay for women to love sex, to want sex, that there’s nothing wrong with consensual sex between adults outside of relationships, break the “slut shame” barrier I suppose. Because it IS okay, healthy and normal for women to love sex, that shouldn’t be a crazy concept.

But for me personally these 1000 men challenges aren’t about that, they aren’t about a woman who loves sex and feels empowered by sex, it’s about money and fame, which is different. I’d question how enjoyable actually is this sex, for either person, when each session lasts what? 30 seconds? Maybe less?

Why on earth did this morning do an interview on this! So children can/have seen this, Jesus.

Our society has become so desensitised. it's ridiculous. The woman in question should be a safeguarding concern.

mids2019 · 18/01/2025 08:48

Of the men.....

They didn't get paid and many were probably in menial jobs with low self esteem themselves. They were willing to humiliating stand in line for brief fornication.....It was pathetic.

Bonnie though is the one with the cash and the fame? Were the men just a series of anonymous dumb walk on parts for someone else's profile (and profit)?

A lot of men will just do anything for a shag

I think BB has used this “marketing tool” to create a situation that makes a huge amount of money in a short period of time.

personally, I don’t believe much of her situation- her name, her age, and mainly, I don’t believe 1057 men. Framing it as a “world record” when that’s clearly meaningless in the sense in which we recognise a world record, is part of some pretty clear marketing and rhetoric. In the same way her outrageous comments about other women etc are just click bait.

i also don’t think she will suffer long term or become seriously mentally unwell or banished for all eternity. She’s a moment in time and many young women in my lifetime have received similar outrage for their behaviour- consider the jody marshes, the Rebecca Loos, the nuts mag era girls, and indeed, the women who “held the world record” before BB. They will disappear into obscurity, maybe whispered about in their local sainsbury.

I also don’t believe she’s made £3m from this. She presumably makes money from sharing the content connected to this on her only fans- and that might end up being £3m revenue but last I heard a few days ago she hadn’t even released it there as yet.

that said I’m sure only fans has and will make her a millionaire.

I think where there is some interesting societal discussion- in my TikTok at least- is amongst the south East Asian community after a couple of men who participated have been shown as from these backgrounds. Previously of course, a nice Indian boy and in particular a good Muslim man would not have been considered possible participants. There have been valid questions raised about the communities shaming of women having sex when their men are appearing on social media under such circumstances.

SkiingIsHeaven · 18/01/2025 08:53

He is decent for other things he said during the conversation.

I was just adding a quick comment which read on its own doesn't sound great, with hindsight. It was a much longer discussion which proved his worth. Not the best choice of words for that particular comment.

He thought that the men were disgusting scum bags and he thought that everyone involved were morally corrupt.

He couldn't understand why anyone would engage in such a vile exhibition.

From now on I'll read things back before posting.

For the condescending person who thinks I'm cute, I thought I was adding a different perspective to the discussion but there you go. Lesson learned.

I feel sad for the poor girl and disgust for the men and facilitators.

1057 willing men, getting a kick out participating in this mass event, with all of these other men.

Judgement is a very natural, human thing to do. It's ensured our survival for thousands of years.

I do judge Lily, and Bonnie and the 1158 men. Quite simply because I've judged them to be disgusting, and my reptile brain doesn't want my body to catch anything from them.

Tomatocutwithazigzagedge · 18/01/2025 08:58

What I can't get over are the family members that turned up together. Fathers, sons and uncles participating together to slip her a length, and her encouraging it as wholesome enjoyment.

Were these men vetted...? Could've been rapists, abusers all sorts I'm guessing, but she didn't really care.

She's still actually married and apparently her husband helps on set.

If a man was hanging around university campuses holding a sign offering to pop the virginity of young female students so they'd be better lovers for their next partner, I'm sure he'd be rightly driven off the premises by security.

I really hope the female students on campus have respect for themselves and avoid these guys like the plague.

In the olden days we had travelling circuses containing freak shows where people would line up and pay to stare, point, laugh and be disgusted by unfortunate souls. This seems like a modern day version to me, to be honest. I doubt these men are watching this on Onlyfans as anything but a complete freakshow.

Why are there daily threads about a prostitute? I can only assume she is behind them and it's all a click bait attention seeking exercise to drive traffic to her channels.
