For the chef I would love to see Nadiya, but she is more "home cook" than professional kitchen experienced. I think someone who has done a wee bit of telly but who isn't superstar famous. Either Anna Haugh or Andi Oliver if it's women, or Bryn Williams? Maybe Si King from the Hairy Bikers.

They should both be replaced ... no way did John not know what was going on. He's acting shocked and surprised ... no way!
I'd get some of the previous winners to host personally.

Thing is it can't be a critic or a chef, as Wallace's role was to be the "everyman" ordinary diner counterweight to them. But it can't just be any old likeable TV presenter because they have to have some authority and knowledge about food and restaurants (not that I think Wallace ticked this box especially well).

I also think Jay Rayner, Grace Dent etc work better in guest spots where they can ham it up a bit, but their shtick is less suitable for the solid week-in-week-out Marcus/Monica presence.

I have no idea what Felicity Cloake's TV presence is like but her skillset seems to be exactly what's needed.

If they are building a new studio then I think they should make it like the Aus and USA versions with more contestants and three presenters.

Maybe its time for a proper revamp of the show - at least the amateur version. I love watching Raymond Blanc's cooking series but can't see him wanting to do this kind of TV. Maybe as a regular guest judge or similar.

Does Diana Henry do much TV these days? A woman of a certain age and a graet food writer. I'd like someone like her in the critic/writer judge slot. Or if they want a younger judge then one of the new generation of food writers - Anna Jones or Meera Sodha.

Monica Galetti and Richard E Grant. Doubt either would do it but I think they'd be enthusiastic and entertaining hosts.

Anna Haugh. She was GREAT. I love Monica so was disappointed at first but Anna was absolutely lovely.
