Just that really. As it seems rather obvious he won’t be darkening the doors of MasterChef again - who would you like to see replace him (or maybe replace both him and John).

Could Nadiya Hussain eat the full range of food though?

I hope Masterchef doesn’t get taken off, it’s one of the only things I watch. I too like Jay Rayner or Si King, but I think they have to go with a woman really. Defo don’t want a ‘name’ from a current cooking show, they are all ‘fine’ but no one really stands out for me. I do like Lisa Allen, if not Angela Harknett - trouble is, as someone said, the great chefs will be busy cheffing, lol

Michel Roux Junior & Fern Britton - no idea if the chemistry would work but he always comes across as warm and obviously very knowledgeable about food and Fern has the food background.

I think they will absolutely have to choose a woman so any middle aged met are out of the running even lovely northern ones.
I agree that John will / should probably go too , but whoever replaces has to be a respected chef/ foody for it to maintain credibility.
I always think Nadia’s Hussein lacks the experience and knowledge the opportunities she gets requires (but she she seems very nice).
I’d like to see Jimi Famurewa and Angela Harnet or Angelica Bell.

I’d like to see them leave just the two chefs to front The Professionals, with guest critics as required. But then change both presenters on the regular show, with Angela Hartnett, or maybe Tom Kerridge, as the chef, and Sue Perkins as the non-professional foodie - she’s a great presenter, and a keen cook and eater.

Another vote for Grace Dent.
