Just that really. As it seems rather obvious he won’t be darkening the doors of MasterChef again - who would you like to see replace him (or maybe replace both him and John).

Really agree with Mrs Applepants. Avoid Masterchef for the “same old, same old “ and can’t stand strictly any more. In the beginning we watched it but soon got fed up with it. So much hype.☹️

She's in the Lords now though and accepted a political party nomination (from the Lib Dems) so I'm not sure about what she would also be allowed to do iyswim. The celeb/charity ones, with fee donated, would be fine presumably.

I do think the “non chef” presenter has to have a good knowledge of food though. GW was a greengrocer and knew his stuff about seasonality etc .Admittedly, over the years, he didnt bring that into the discussions as much, but I would like someone who knows their onions, if you’ll pardon the pun!

I remember that! I think she did both shows, and seemed to be everywhere, all at once that year. The omnifuckingpresent vicar, laughing about assorted faith-based comfort foods in such a superficial way. I hope she changed her agent, because that was not a good 'era' for her. She's clearly very clever, popular and amenable in RL but these valuable traits need to translate to screen.

I also think that it should be a non chef. They need someone funny that is not in any way sleazy, a comedian but not one that is a double entendre type. How about Jack Dee, he hasn’t been on the TV for a good while.
