I’ll go first..

Newspapers and new books are my nemesis! Books are usually manageable but I have genuinely never been able to bring myself to willingly touch a newspaper, I don’t even like being in the same room as them due to the smell🤣 Wish I was joking..

Anyone else have a strange dislike to a smell that would be inoffensive to most other people?

My next door neighbours tree.
I thought my cat had brought a dead rat and dumped it near the house because every time I went outside I could smell dead rat. (he's done it before so I know the smell)
Turns out it's the neighbours tree, once the flowers die off it goes away, but it is really awful in spring

Imperial Leather soap!! ugh I can’t stand it
Hyacinths have a rotten smell
cheese and onion or chive crisps smell
Factory made madeleines - those little French cakes- a few other factory cakes have that same nauseating smell
Brie or soft cows cheeses, also blue cheese like Stilton Urgh
I can’t imagine anyone like it but the smell of people who have been drinking alcohol- even walking into a boozy room but also the next day coming off people. Instant vom.

I bet that spring tree was a Hawthorne- or May tree. The blossom smells of rotten meat. Awful.

@LoveRosesClimbing yep I suspect that's exactly what the bush is down our road, as you say it's always spring/early summer - it's a vile smell

Sickly sweet candles or cheap perfume sprays that teen girls like to douse themselves with

Giorgio Beverly Hills… Ghosts of chain-smoking bosses past. Bullying old harpies. 80’s hard-faced, shoulder-padded cliches, both of them.
Old newspapers and magazines.
