Scents that you bizarrely hate!

I’ll go first..

Newspapers and new books are my nemesis! Books are usually manageable but I have genuinely never been able to bring myself to willingly touch a newspaper, I don’t even like being in the same room as them due to the smell🤣 Wish I was joking..

Anyone else have a strange dislike to a smell that would be inoffensive to most other people?

Tea, it absolutely stinks. I genuinely don’t know how people drink the stuff. 🤮

Fresh air...that smell that sticks to your clothes on cold crisp days it actually makes me feel a bit sick

Lavender gives me an instant sore head

Bleach - makes me rageful! Bleach free house here. My mum had a thing for the smell when pregnant with me - interestingly (for me!).

also toothpaste when other people are cleaning their teeth 🤢. That is more vom than rage tho!!

Warm scones 🤮

Oh and seagrass and hessian type things when they are new 🤮

Coffee. Makes me gag. I am incredulous that people drink it because to me it is one of the worst smells in the world. My absolute hate is having to visit coffee shops, spend the whole time trying not to breathe in. But when I was on mat leave every fucker wanted to go for coffee 🤮

Vanilla. It makes me feel sick.

lol Youth Dew! I once asked my husband about the scent his aunt was wearing and his dad piped up “That will be the Youth Dew. They all wear it.”

Coffee - makes me wretch I hate going into Starbucks etc I don’t know how anyone could drink it
Angel perfume
Seafood and fish
Meat cooking (probably why I’m a veggie)

Oud. Yuck.

Fahrenheit aftershave. I can smell it a mile off, can't stand it. I once, many years ago, had an awful night out in London - if felt like half the men on the tune were wearing it, I couldn't get away from it!

Anything from the Lush shop,and those air wick plug in things.

Baby powder and that note in any fragrance or cleaning product 🤮

argan oil is the worst smell ever for me, it knocks me sick.

Orange and vanilla together, so cloying. I like them separately though.

Guerlain Shalimar, horrible !!

Not so much a dislike but the smell of Body Shop White Musk used to give me almost instant diarrhoea… which made shopping centres in the early 90s somewhat troublesome 🤣

Pumpkin or vanilla in a perfume give me a migraine so when I smell them my instinct is to run away fast

My daughter hates the smell of clean bedding

I bought an expensive Mexican orange blossom bush because everyone raved about the scented flowers. To me the leaves smell like piss, I put up with it waiting for the flowers and they don't smell any better.

Rose- hate toiletries smell but love the actual plants

Jasmine. It just smells like wee.

Eternity perfume makes me gag as does the sickly sweet Coco Mademoiselle.

The smell of wet dog hair.

The smell of red meat when it is cooking. I don't mind it when its fully cooked.

The smell of cooked eggs.

The smell of alcohol of whiskey and beer from people.

The smell of cheddar cheese.

An antibiotic that you smell when you open the blister pack. I'm heaving before I even put it in my mouth.
