Does anyone else have a tea towel drawer?

Friend was over for dinner last night and asked for a fresh tea towel.
I said "sure, over there in the tea towel drawer".
She couldn't stop laughing and said she'd never heard of such a thing 😳

Anyone else have a whole drawer dedicated to just tea towels?

(Confession time - I LOVE tea towels 😁)

Yes.

YANBU

KnittedCardi · 08/08/2024 08:34

Of course. Where else would you keep them???

Namechangenoooo · 08/08/2024 08:34

Yes . Where else do you put them?🤔

GinAndGooseberries · 08/08/2024 08:34

Yes. It does have a few other things jn it too as we have limited drawers.

Dearg · 08/08/2024 08:35

Yes!! I mean, where else would they live ?

My beautifully ironed, preferably, but not exclusively, linen, tea towels share their drawer with my spare apron and napkins, but it’s a big drawer.

Madickenxx · 08/08/2024 08:35

I have a tea towel basket in one of my kitchen cupboards so not quite the same but surely everyone must have a home for their tea towels?

GoingOutShoes · 08/08/2024 08:35

Yes. And it stores the clean dishcloths. Where else would you keep them?

SplishSplashSploshes · 08/08/2024 08:35

Yes, but I also keep dishcloths and similar in there as well

EveOfTheDay · 08/08/2024 08:35

Yes and it's the tidiest drawer in the house!

CwmYoy · 08/08/2024 08:35

yes

TeenToTwenties · 08/08/2024 08:35

Of course I do.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 08/08/2024 08:36

No, i keep them in a stack in the linen cupboard ( too much kitchen stuff in the kitchen unfortunately).

BillieJ · 08/08/2024 08:36

I have a drawer that has tea towels, small hand towels and dishcloths, all folded and lined up. It's one of those little things I'd have laughed at in my 20s but now recognise as something that helps me feel organised. Less time on the small stuff.

BaronessBomburst · 08/08/2024 08:36

I did, but my new kitchen didn't have a suitable drawer so now they are all in the linen cupboard. I have to go upstairs every time I want a fresh one.
(Although to be fair the laundry box is also upstairs so I'd be taking the old one up anyway.)

Osco · 08/08/2024 08:36

I have a basket of them inside a cupboard.

Fgfgfg · 08/08/2024 08:36

Of course we have a tea towel drawer.

isthismylifenow · 08/08/2024 08:37

I thought everyone had one in all honesty.

I do have spare dish cloths and ironed pinnys in there too. (for when my mum visits 😀) Extra pot holders, that sort of thing.

Perplexed20 · 08/08/2024 08:37

Yes. And dh irons them to make them fit.

DancingNotDrowning · 08/08/2024 08:37

Yes - puzzled as to where else they’d be?!

going upstairs to linen closet sounds like a faff.

DeathByResponsibilities · 08/08/2024 08:37

Of course!
Your friend is the weird one. 🤣
I used to have one, now they sit in a pile on top of the microwave as the only possible place for them, which I hate.
I can't wait to get my tea towel drawer back. 😁

SloopyDoodle · 08/08/2024 08:37

I used to have one but we had it removed along with a few others to make space for a dishwasher and I really do miss it! They are now shoved in a pile with my baking equipment, saucepans etc and it is really untidy (but was worth it for a dishwasher).

sofaofchange · 08/08/2024 08:37

Yes! I thought everybody did

Strikingthebalance · 08/08/2024 08:37

Yes! I’ve never known anyone not to have one! Where does your friend keep hers?!

Autel · 08/08/2024 08:38

It’s pretty usual. Where does your friend keep hers?
