Such a terrible situation, it must have been a credible threat.

Swfities have been going to such lengths and expense to attend these concerts too, they will all be so bitterly disappointed and hugely out of pocket if they have travelled internationally too.

Such a wholesome innocent pursuit for young girls and women to be targeted, I hope it doesn’t scare attendees at other events and marr their enjoyment.

It must be a significant threat as news reports to start with said extra checks would take place before the concerts and then it changed to them being cancelled. So disappointing for so many fans

I know, some people have spend £xxxxs. I think lots of US fans have travelled to Europe because of issues with ticket sales in the US.

I saw this earlier that two people had been arrested, I suppose they can't be too careful after what happened at Manchester, how awful though.

Why are TS's fans being targeted in particular?

Mainly just very young girls who like dancing and singing and dressing up. Why them and not grown adults who are voting for various Governments (not that we should be targeted either obviously).

It’s just so awful, something that should be such innocent fun. Why does it feel like the whole world is so filled with hate at the moment?

I can’t imagine the devastation of the fans who have waited a whole year for this. How devastating that the ugliness of the world we live in has encroached on what seems like the safest place for girls and women.

It’s so awful. I feel so sorry for everyone who was expecting to go to Eras, I know how exited I was. There will be some devastated people. Of course safety comes first, and it feels like such a deliberate attack on a predominantly female audience.

I’ve read two articles that say they’re cancelled but also going ahead within the same article, like nothing is concrete yet. Has it been officially announced?

@pinkhousesarebest Yes. A community of girls and women coming together in one place to be joyful like no other time in life and male violence has led it to be cancelled.

It really does, it’s hellish everywhere at the moment.

I hate things like this. I rarely buy tickets to shows, concerts, theatres etc due to a fear of terrorism :( I'm taking my kids to one of her concerts in Wembley and now we're all scared :(

Very sad. My daughter flew out to Vienna yesterday. mainly to go to the concert tomorrow. She's not happy!! She's a student and the cost of the flight etc is a lot for her.

I'm due to go to Wembley on the 20th August and my anxiety is already through the roof this has just made it so much worse. Taylor's team have made the right decision to cancel. Safety first always xxx

Young girls enjoying life, it’s fucking depressing.

The last time I was in a big venue (comedy), there were thousands of people there. I remember panicking because I felt so vulnerable. I suppose they want us to feel scared. Its awful though and it does put me off going to packed venues especially with my kids.
