The question needs to be asked why is it young males that are willing to carry out these atrocious attacks.. 19 years old? Why?

I know, it’s so young. And the Southport boy was 17 (not terror related). How is your mind so warped so young or how is it so easily warped. It’s terrifying.

Probably can track it back to Covid. Instead of normal human face to face experiences and being outside, we spent years shut away, perfect breeding ground for teens who might be isolated from reality to be radicalised. Of course this happened pre-covid too though.

Well done intelligence services.
Hideous.
F@&king radical fundamentalist religion YET AGAIN.
Please can we hear some very loud condemnation from community leaders of the same faith?

Yep. Took long enough for someone to name the elephant in the room.

"It's men!" Yeah, it is. But it's not just any old random men, is it? It's not radical Hindus or Sikhs or Buddhists. It's radical Islam that hates women, girls, fun, freedom, life. Pattern recognition isn't phobic, it's a survival trait.

LlamaNoDrama · 07/08/2024 22:57

Sky news says they're not sure if they have all of those who knew about it so I guess it's too risky to go ahead.

What a load of bollocks. What about the terrorist attacks before covid?
Stop making excuses for murdering scum who don't give a shit. Life is cheap to them

I assume the police are trying not to spread panic and that actually means they are absolutely certain there are many more of them and its a definite possibility.

But why boys & why the need to inflict the rage & anger on so many innocents?

Greigeisthelatestbeige · 07/08/2024 21:47

This is awful.

Why are TS's fans being targeted in particular?

Mainly just very young girls who like dancing and singing and dressing up. Why them and not grown adults who are voting for various Governments (not that we should be targeted either obviously).

Who knows, doubt we’ll ever get to hear. Could be what some PP’s have said, or it could be that it’ll be sold out packed stadium and she is a well known name over the world so maximum reach.

When ISIS fanatics coordinated the three attacks in Paris in 2015, they hit an Eagles of Death Metal concert, a sports venue and an area of restaurants/bars so seems to be no pattern other than busy area and westernised in Europe.

Yeah, Ariana Grande was several years pre-Covid.

I have tickets for London next week and feel very anxious about it now! Confused

There's no way I would be going!

Presumably its boys because the only use they have for girls is to make them into the mothers of the next generation of murderers.

My dc is devastated. Months of planning, nights of sitting up making bracelets and planning outfits. She's crying 'why is the world like this'.

I'm so sorry to hear that ❤️

DD is supposed to be going to Wembly. Who knows if it'll go ahead.

Bowlowner · 07/08/2024 23:05

We are currently in Vienna with two absolutely devastated teens who are trying very hard to put a brave face on it and be grateful that there are decent people out there working tirelessly to keep everyone safe. As @circular1985 said, the months of planning and making lovely outfits and bracelets. It's just heartbreaking. We had been having a lovely evening, lots of people out and about wearing their newly-purchased Taylor merch and you could feel the atmosphere change as the news broke.

Drogdab · 07/08/2024 23:06

Sorry for all those in Vienna/due to go.

Reading between the lines it sounds like there was a cell behind it. I read chemicals were found, like wtf were they planning?

This comes very close to blaming "men".

You absolutely cannot tar "men" with this crime. Yes the extremists are likely to be men (of course) but so are the fathers of these children that would lay down their lives to protect them and who, without knowing their kids would be at risk have helped to pay hundreds of pounds for them to go have a nice time.

Edited

So ridiculous they are bloody terrorists and women are part of those organisations too. Have you seen the news today?

EasterIssland · 07/08/2024 23:07

Sorry for all those that have had their concerts cancelled.

I guess why TS and her fans? She represents the type of woman many people hate

Exactly, she is empowering, successful, rich beyond imagination & is a fantastic female role model & a certain cohort of males have deep contempt & resentment for those reasons..

I am sorry and for all the others in Vienna too. Are you back in your accommodation now? There must be a feeling of fear now in the city. Is there an underground there - is it still running or has it been closed off for security?

I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude but this is one of the stupidest things I've ever read on MN.

But it IS men. Ariana concert? Men. Bataclan? Men. No woman did any of these things.

Aw, and some guy bought his kid a concert ticket? Yeah, so did a shitload of women.

AngeloMysterioso · 07/08/2024 23:16

I’ve literally been making bracelets this evening to take to the Wembley show next Thursday. I feel so sorry for all the fans who won’t get to see the show now as it looks like it’s being cancelled altogether (as opposed to rescheduled).

However, I am going to continue making bracelets and hopefully this time next week I will be getting a nice early night, ready to don my sequinned leotard and sparkly boots and go and sing and dance my ass off because Fuck You Terrorists.

they hit soft targets less likely to have security but full of people.

Good on you because they want to spread fear, to thwart people's plan, make feel people afraid to go about their daily routine..
