I would repeat what i said on the last thread but it's been deleted (although all true but mn people don't like the truth). To summarise you are being played by the people who have caused all the division and mismanaged this country in the past 25 years (successive govts have have ruined the country) - you are being their useful idiots by blaming Farage for everything when he hasn't been in power and they are responsible.

I would say the exact same things of you and yours.

Blaming immigrants rather than who has actually decreased your quality of life.

I wonder why your previous post would have been deleted. Wink

Well I think the most urgent thing is to mainatain peace on the streets and then get back to settling things calmly.

So I'm being "played" into thinking a demagogue encouraging violence is a dangerous man, fine. I'm quite happy to be played for safe streets.

Where is everyone getting this whole "you've been played" rhetoric anyway? How does it help?

"Useful idiots" tick.

I actually think people trying to pass a clear Nazi salute at a riot off as something, anything else in utterly bizarre ways deserve that descriptor a bit more, but there you go.

TizerorFizz · 05/08/2024 15:52

Farage is learning tactics from Trump. There are “ring leaders” who orchestrate violence in deprived areas. They have willing participants there. I doubt it would happen in Gerrards Cross or Harrogate because no one would take part and yet there are GP issues and housing shortages everywhere. So people who feel they are victims are easily persuaded by those who seek violence. Some probably enjoy a good fight. It’s lawless and shameful. Hopefully the police will catch them and that we make room in the prisons for them.

As for the ludicrous complaint that “no one listens to them”. I sincerely hope some of these people are not listened to. That includes Farage and several others - Anderson? They do not represent a majority.

I don't even want to imagine what fever dreams Trump & Farage are jointly having about Putin & the Ukraine and whatever else.

It was striking that virtually the first thing NF did as an elected MP was to fly off to support Trump after the shooting.

I also agree this is all much more the result of planning that it looks to the casual observer.

Agreed @TizerorFizz

TizerorFizz · 05/08/2024 16:00

Just to add: this country is very much a small cog in world events. Population shifts, work patterns, cultural changes and politics tried to offer solutions. They are becoming more and more difficult to find. There are some things we can do but economic growth would help a lot.

dottiehens · 05/08/2024 16:01

Equally Starmer was saying that Biden was very much in good form. They all stick together to support each other if they have the same political views. So funny now Tories are gone there is a new obsession in here. Those rioters would be there Farage or not. Obviously the U.K. has to have the mini version of Trump here before was BJ and now is Farage. The reality is that the amazing Labour Party win was not really that great. More of the same but other side of the coin.

The planning goes both ways though. Middle Eastern Eye did a full investigation (based on FOI to UK Govt) on how the Home Office has successfully used 'controlled spontaneity' events at grassroots level to keep the public calm after serious terrorist events like London Bridge and Manchester Arena: https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/mind-control-secret-british-government-blueprints-shaping-post-terror-planning

So what I want to know is why wasn't that playbook put into operation after Southport??? I appreciate that it wasn't a terrorist attack but still. As soon as rumours started spreading, the government should have started putting these plans into action as they have clearly been efficacious in the past. So I do think the Home Office has been caught on the hop this time and that's why I think they now need to get the army in to get these racist thugs off our streets and institute a proper programme to promoted public unity.

'Controlled spontaneity': The secret UK government blueprints shaping post-terror planning

After the 2017 London Bridge attack, local officials were told: 'We're sending you a hundred imams.'

I hope the Cobra meeting was productive.

Have we even got a large enough army left to easily enforce peace if called on?

TizerorFizz · 05/08/2024 16:07

@dottiehens We have lost our position in terms of who the USA is friendly with and actually listens too. Starmer wanted to get in and get noticed. Therefore he’s not going to be rude about the President. Neither is it something he can change. Trump won’t care about Starmer so he needed to get in there early whilst there’s a hope of a Democrat President.

TizerorFizz · 05/08/2024 16:08

@LiterallyOnFire The optics of the army would be very bad. It’s not what civilized countries do and they are employed for another job. The police are forming a mobile task force and that’s the best way forward.

I hope it's not needed but it's got to be the fallback hasn't it? The government must be considered it
