Putting washing on the line in the sun

I apologise if this is a niche pleasure - but does anyone else get a huge pleasure from seeing big sheets on the washing line in the sun?

Maybe it's a childhood thing.

I'm with you.

Clothes and sheets dry quick, it's good for the environment, and it's a sign of Spring!

Sadly a dying practice, which is why lots of people smell of damp dishcloths.

It gives me more pleasure than it should really! Everything feels and smells better when it's been hanging on the line.

I find watching the washing blow really relaxing too. Spring is on its way.

I hate using the dryer too.

Also, sliding into a freshly made bed with bedding that has been on the line earlier in the day is heaven to me. I sleep so much better

I got pleasure from a line of snow-white nappies.

Oh God yes!!!!!

The smell of sunshine from washing on the line is just something else. Best night's sleep ever in bedsheets straight off the line.

A white wash on the line is ultimate satisfaction.

Yes, me too, I hate having washing indoors.

This is one of my favourite things! I love hanging washing out on the line. My DH laughs at me when I get excited at a good drying day. Can never replicate it indoors, the smell or the feel of line dried clothes is amazing and having lived in a flat for years with no outside space, I do not take it for granted now that we have a garden.

I've just thought the same thing putting my washing out on clothes airers. Going to get DH to put up the proper washing line and clean it down this weekend as I can feel spring coming!

We're due our second baby in April and will be using cloth nappies again and I can't wait for those little fluffy white nappies to be blowing on the line.

Something about white sheets flapping against a blue sky and the green grass just makes me happy.
No idea why, it always has.

Like a day in the park for me. I love seeing laundry on the line.

We're moving in the spring to a house with our own garden and I am really excited to use the washing line! Outside line dried washing does smell so much better.

I'm sure Kate Bush wrote a song about it.

I just hung out my first load of the year and I am so pleased! The first daffodils are out in the garden, the clothes are flapping in the wind and the sun is shining. I don't do well in winter so really appreciate days like this.

Just hung a load out. Not very sunny here but a little breeze. Cold though so washing probably won't fully dry but still better than having it in the dryer from soaking wet
