Thanks @DuncinToffee

So I see Cleverly now says that Rwanda plan is "innovative and humane". So no longer "batshit crazy".

MrTiddlesTheCat · 12/12/2023 13:46

I'm checking in for the snacks.

Reading The Week in Tory; I'd forgotten the vignette of Rishi Sunak's locking himself out of number 10. I've always been lead to believe that that was impossible?

BIossomtoes · 12/12/2023 13:48

Thanks Duncin.

Efacsen · 12/12/2023 13:49

With Rishi reverse midas Sunak the impossible becomes probable.

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/12/2023 14:23

He locked himself out of number 10?

BIossomtoes · 12/12/2023 14:25

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/12/2023 14:23

If only nobody had let him back in …

Thanks for the new thread Duncin Brew. That last one went in a flash.

Not that we need reminding but (despite what Farage says) immigration isn't the number one issue for voters - it's the cost of living stupid. Chart below illustrating this

"But on salience. Illegal migration pales into comparison to both the cost of living and the NHS. Immigration is higher for 2019 Tories but still far behind the cost of living. For that reason a single issue immigration election (that isn’t cost of living) is a non starter"
