I’d love her as PM but she’s going to be amazing as Home Sec and I’d rather that she was that than PM.

Actually - good point

Fuck me. So this is how it feels to live in a country run by people who will go down in history as maniacs.

fuck these arse holes. Why even bother with the pretence of voting, just do what you want and go full dictator. That’s what they want, just fucking do it.

My thoughts exactly.

How the hell are we In a situation where our country will make a law to declare a country safe that we accept asylum seekers from.

Next weeks debate is going to be "we are renaming black as white in law"

itsgettingweird · 12/12/2023 21:21

Mine didn't record a vote.

It's Braverman.

Make of that what you will

Notonthestairs · 12/12/2023 21:29

Abstained.

So the shenanigans from the last month was just for rabble rousing.

pointythings · 12/12/2023 21:43

Mine's Jungle Matt and he voted Aye.

Cookingdoesntgettougher · 12/12/2023 21:56

Thanks - so depressing I’ve got Labour MP so voted against

Zonder · 12/12/2023 22:05

Blimey just posted on the old thread and then realised there's a new one - and it's 5 pages long already!

Zonder · 12/12/2023 22:05

I was a bit surprised nobody had commented on the vote 😆

Interesting. Part of her manoeuvres for a potential leadership bid?

BIossomtoes · 12/12/2023 22:45

Roussette · 12/12/2023 20:28

What a surprise ... my horrible MP voted Aye

And mine.

tobee · 12/12/2023 23:12

Mines bleeding standing down at the next election Stephen Hammond who is a one nation Tory type who even as a remainer capitulated to Johnson's 2019 requirements to stand as candidate again despite this

Yeah, you guessed it, he voted aye.

L1ttledrummergirl · 12/12/2023 23:23

Mine voted yes as well (no surprises there). It will be interesting to read her really to my letter (assuming she bothers).

BIossomtoes · 12/12/2023 23:24

Mine’s standing down too. He’s John Major’s unworthy successor. In the 26 years he’s held the seat he’s done the square root of fuck all.

Rishi Sunak drops his Christmas single just in time for tonight's Rwanda vote.

Stay (Till Polling Day) - East 17 feat. Rishi Sunak and David Cameron.

Mine voted Aye. So did my previous area (35m away) MP. So did Gillian Keegan I see. So bloody depressing.

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/12/2023 01:53

Mine voted aye as well. As expected. He’s a spineless twat who will pretty much toe the party line especially if he feels the party would be damaged by not doing so.

I expect to see lots of tweets about the lines to take the Tories have been given.

countrygirl99 · 13/12/2023 02:34

Had a look on MPs Facebook page and 1 person has said "they should just get on a train or ferry to come here and not come in these small boats".
This is why we end up with the government we have.

Zonder · 13/12/2023 06:38

Does anyone know if anyone who is not Tory voted aye?

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/12/2023 07:03

5 independents but they are mostly ex Tories e.g. Hancock, Peter bone etc.

InMySpareTime · 13/12/2023 07:15

That sky link says 5 independents voted aye, but I only found 4 names looking through on the list:
Scott Benton
Peter Bone
Rob Roberts
Bob Stewart

InMySpareTime · 13/12/2023 07:16

Of course, I missed out Matt Hanckock, he's very forgettable.

Was it a full moon yesterday?

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/12/2023 07:37

Slight correction, they are all ex-Tory MPs.

Notonthestairs · 13/12/2023 08:01

The abstainers include those angling for leadership/influence - Braverman, Cates, Hayes, Clarke, Jenrick, Kruger, Cash and Berry.

Rosindell abstained although I assume he was paired(?) given he is not allowed on parliamentary estate.

They clearly have huge influence and leadership skills given how many were inspired by their example.
