What's your little extravagance?

Maybe a guilty pleasure or something you don't strictly need to pay for but you really appreciate the impact of it.

Recently, paying to skip the security queue at a certain nightmare airport is fucking heaven. It seems ridiculous to me to spend £5 on it but i've had stressful queuing experiences where I thought we might miss our flight. Swanning past the queue is bliss but a bit naughty because it costs me nothing to wait in line.

Ooh great thread.

My little luxuries:

Good coffee machine and fresh beans
Cleaner
Cashmere jumpers
Exercise classes (I have no self discipline)
Perfume
Lots of food items - President butter, Isigny creme fraiche, waitrose 1 cheese, fresh fish, fresh herbs, seasonal food - I’ve been eating my own weight in figs recently, right now it’s chestnuts. And eating out. I don’t buy good bread often though as I would eat it all…

For socks I recommend Bam (bamboo) very thick and comfy but not sweaty or itchy.

The stylist/personal shopper sounds very interesting. Anyone know of a similar service for makeup and skincare? I know very little, am really daunted by the range out there but want someone independent not tied to a brand.

I keep meaning to put the fire on, we have a fireplace but never use it but that would be a lovely treat.

Massage once a quarter
Cleaner once a week
Local sourdough (can’t go back)
Perfume (lasts ages)
L’Occitane almond cream - use it last thing at night for face and feet, relaxes me
Books!

Also buy coffee beans but we have a little hand grinder and find a curious pleasure in dropping the beans in and turning the handle for 2 mins. The smell is divine.
