What is the worst-tasting drink you have ever had ?

I've had plenty of ropey glasses of water (chemicals, fluoride, iron) and off milk. But my all time champion is Greene King IPA, absolutely the most foul, disgusting beer I have drunk in 34 years of legal alcohol consumption. The one pint I managed to finish didn't taste remotely of beer, more like weak golden syrup with some unspeakable additives. Many years ago, I had a glass of Merlot which tasted like burning rubber. My guess is that it wasn't off but needed longer in the bottle to mature. Regardless, it was horrible.

My late parents were both fans of pastis drinks such as Pernod and Ouzo. Just the smell was enough to put me off. Eww.

Decades ago, I'm reliably informed that the ubiquitous Watney's Red Barrel was the gold standard for witchpiss in the brewing industry.

Negroni. I had thought it would be fabulous but it was so strong and bitter I could only manage a couple of sips.

Coconut water. Holy feck, that stuff is awful.

Red Bull. It stinks like horse manure.

Mango juice. Tastes of armpits

Coffee. How anyone drinks it is beyond me.

A homemade beetroot cider. Utterly foul

Eggnog. It's got egg in it FFS!!!

Aperol spritz 🤢

Kombucha 🤮

Jagerbomb

Aloe Vera juice. It's like bleach and bile.

'Arkells' something or other bitter. Foul. I tipped it into a plant pot.

Coming on to say just this. 🤣
Particularly "smokey" ones. They taste of mud

Liquid potassium, ironically given as I had no potassium from vomiting. I still had none as it made me vomit.

Lapsang soushong tea. All energy drinks I’ve ever tasted and coconut milk

Mojito - looked , and tasted , like a mini swamp…..

That aniseed tasting spirit. Ouzo, is it? Think it turns white when a mixer is added. Bloody gross stuff 😐 . I only had one mouthful and ordered something else more palatable

The green apple cocktail at Wicked was awful, I had two sips. Which was shame as it was expensive.

Cinzano 🤢

Garlic vodka. I made it myself but may have used a bit much garlic. Filled a bottle with peeled garlic, filled up with vodka nad left it for 6 months. After filtering it was green and oily and utterly foul.

Came on here to say ouzo. Like drinking toothpaste. The first mouthful of retsina is pretty awful, as well, but it gets better (IME).
