Actors who are perfectly cast

Following on from the discussion about actors who are not, who are the ones who are?

To me, Gone Girl was beautifully cast. Ben Affleck as Nick, Rosamund Pike as Amy, all of the minor characters...

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool obviously.

Watching it the moment, but Steve Coogan does a good job in The Reckoning. Trying to balance the charisma of Savile (as that’s how he got away with it for so long), and the revulsion must have been a difficult task!

Thomas Jane as Josephus Miller and Shohreh Aghdashloo as Avasarala in The Expanse. The whole show was pretty perfectly cast but those two were just brilliant for those parts.

An obscure one as it's not because of the role but because of the resemblance but in Grey's Anatomy Meridith's daughter (Ellis Shepherd) is so perfectly cast I genuinely couldn't believe she wasn't actually related in real life to the actress who plays her grandmother (Ellis Grey).

Honestly cannot think of more perfect casting!

Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger as Strike and Robin.

Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall.

Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds in Persuasion. (Actually, everyone in the film, pretty much.)

ETA: Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn.

Katy Segal in Sons of Anarchy. Maggie Smith in all her roles to be fair but certainly Professor McGonagall and Downton. Alison Steadman in Gavin and Stacey. Without doubt Heath Ledger as Joker. Just a few that pop to mind!

Miranda Hart as Chummy in Call the Midwife is the most perfect actor/character casting I've ever known.
The character existed in the actual original books but if I didn't already know that I'd have thought the part was created for her. She nailed that character to perfection.

Almost all of the adult Harry Potter actors were too old for their parts.

But Robert Downey Junior was perfect as Iron Man, as was Chris Evans as Captain America.
