Do you know anyone who has never had Covid?

Most adults I know have had it multiple times, especially people with kids at school. Most kids have had it multiple times. But a lady at work says she and her husband have had it, and they are going to participate in a medical study. And now I just wondered if not having Covid is unusual or whether lots of people have managed to avoid it all this time.

My son and I haven't had it.

Wigeon · 04/10/2023 23:11

I don't think my mum thinks she has had it, but she was shielding during the whole pandemic and even since has been extremely cautious.

I can't think of anyone else I know who has never had it!

Me

Robotalkingrubbish · 04/10/2023 23:11

We haven’t had it and neither has my son.

Elieza · 04/10/2023 23:12

My elderly mum. She followed all the rules. Saw nobody. Went nowhere except food shopping. Got all her jabs and wore masks.

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 04/10/2023 23:12

I haven't had it at all. Friend has also avoided it even when his wife had 3 infections.

MinnieMouse0 · 04/10/2023 23:13

My parents have not knowingly had it. They remained in contact with my elderly gran and another family member with stage 4 cancer throughout lockdowns, then my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer last year, so they have had to be very careful for the last almost 3 years. But even so it’s surprising they haven’t had it, even my wee old granny had it twice!!

Slippersarethebest · 04/10/2023 23:13

I've never had it, worked on a hot ward and varies other places throughout. Mother never had ot either. Neither of us were particularly careful outside of the instructed restrictions.

Indiana2021 · 04/10/2023 23:13

Me despite working in a high risk environment and other people in the house having had it at various stages.

Alstroemeria123 · 04/10/2023 23:13

I haven’t had it as far as I know - or at least I’ve never tested positive.

I kind of assume I have had it at some point asymptomatically, though, as I’m regularly on public transport.

Istanbulnotconstantinople72 · 04/10/2023 23:14

I haven't had it, neither have my parents. As far as I know. I could have had it at some point and been asymptomatic.

Scutterbug · 04/10/2023 23:14

Neither of my parents have had it.

Noodledoodledoo · 04/10/2023 23:14

My husband and daughter, shared a house/bed with me when I was positive, tested daily never showed positive. Son had it 8 weeks earlier never passed it on to the rest of us - tested daily due to jobs.

StJulian2023 · 04/10/2023 23:15

Me, my parents, my son for starters

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 04/10/2023 23:15

I’ve not had it and neither has DD. DH & DS had it but we didn’t catch it.

Sodie · 04/10/2023 23:15

I haven't and neither has my husband.

seashaken · 04/10/2023 23:15

I haven't had it and neither has my husband. Our son has had it twice though, both times I was with him a few hours before his symptoms started, still didn't catch it.

TheShellBeach · 04/10/2023 23:16

DH and I have yet to catch it.

Mind you, in December 2019, before we knew about it, we both had a terrible viral illness for a fortnight. That might have been Covid. I'd just been to London.

mummy21blueeyed · 04/10/2023 23:16

My mum her partner and a friend have never had it that’s 3 people I know of.

TrailingLoellia · 04/10/2023 23:16

My DH and DCs haven’t had covid. I got it and it knocked me for six.

Belfastbird · 04/10/2023 23:16

I haven't had it, neither have my mum or siblings. I was in a trial & tested fortnightly for infection & antibodies so pretty certain I haven't!

VariationsonaTheme · 04/10/2023 23:18

Neither DH nor DS have had it, despite being in close daily contact with others that have had it. Recently I shared a room for two nights with my mum and sister who both got it whilst we were away, but I didn’t. It’s a weird one when it comes to transmission.

mondaytosunday · 04/10/2023 23:18

Me! My daughter, who is on the tube every day, has also never had it. I suppose I could have and been symptomless but she had to test herself regularly for school.

WaxhamSeals · 04/10/2023 23:18

I’ve not had it, and I worked in a public facing role throughout lockdown.
DH, DD & DS haven’t had it either, nor have most of my colleagues.
It would be easier to list the people I know who have had it!
