Do you know anyone who has never had Covid?

Most adults I know have had it multiple times, especially people with kids at school. Most kids have had it multiple times. But a lady at work says she and her husband have had it, and they are going to participate in a medical study. And now I just wondered if not having Covid is unusual or whether lots of people have managed to avoid it all this time.

Oh never had it. Works in retail travels on public transport.

Gilead · 06/10/2023 13:13

27 year old dd hasn’t had it, despite looking after people who have.

MrsB74 · 06/10/2023 13:49

My husband, teenage daughter and I haven’t had it. Bizarrely my other daughter has (once), but we never caught it despite being around her. I work in a hospital too so have been surrounded by it. I’ll probably catch it next week!

I haven't even though my kids and husband have.

WildRose42 · 07/10/2023 13:28

I’ve never had it, neither have my parents, sister or most work colleagues.

Hbh17 · 07/10/2023 13:44

I had all my vaccinations, but never had Covid. Never took any "precautions" and went to large gatherings, travellee etc as soon as permitted. Obviously, I wouldn't know now because I don't have a job that requires testing, and neither I nor anybody I know has tested for years, so it is a pointless discussion really!

ConsuelaHammock · 07/10/2023 13:59

My sister hasn’t had it yet and she’s a district nurse so has been exposed to it countless times.

VimtoVimto · 07/10/2023 14:10

My husband and I haven’t knowingly had it. I worked in an office throughout the pandemic and never caught it despite several outbreaks among staff. I’ve also not had a cold since September 2019 when I had a bad one.

DH and our adult children got a cold last Christmas which wiped them out but tested negative for Covid.

lljkk · 08/10/2023 13:29

I only tested when we travelled internationally.
I never tested positive.
I made very minimal efforts to avoid catching it, although I was vaccinated (so I could travel).
Since December 2019, I've had 2 mild colds and a few cases of very mild respy symptoms (for a few hours or days).

I presume one of those was covid. Else I had Covid completely without symptoms.

Flumpsareyummy · 08/10/2023 13:51

I’ve never had it! Neither has my mum. As far as I’m aware neither has my 3 year old although we never tested him when eldest had it as he was a young baby. I have no idea how as eldest son, my sister, my dad and my partner have all had it.

GreyhpundGirl · 08/10/2023 19:05

Me. I'm a secondary school teacher, and both my husband and toddler had it. I didn't have as much as a cold in the whole covid/ lockdown time..

Delaire13 · 08/10/2023 19:05

I apparently had it at some point but had no idea , I wasn't unwell at all and it was found through a set of tests I was having.

STAR2510 · 08/10/2023 19:11

People have probably had it and not realised.
It's only like a cold / flu.
Hype for no reason.
People just need to get on with it live their lives.

Bonnie222 · 08/10/2023 19:11

I'm a mum of 3 and has never had it.. I've been exposed to it too a few times. I must be one of the lucky ones

RoseWrites · 08/10/2023 19:19

Me and my daughter (5yo) have never had it. I am fully vaccinated but travel loads for work, holidays, eat out, sit in theatres, etc. All 3 other children school age have had it many, many times and my DH has had it soon. But me and my DD have avoided it so far. It feels very random... [frantically looks for something wooden].

TeenyBop8 · 08/10/2023 19:23

There is 2 adults and 3 children in our house. Only I have tested positive.

AngelinaFibres · 08/10/2023 19:23

I have had it 3 times. My husband took part in a vaccine trial because he had never reacted to the vaccine ( vaccine always made me feel awful the following day) never had covid and wanted to help out. We both had covid the week before last. I was really poorly with this strain and he finally tested positive and felt unwell. Think this one is even more infectious than previous ones. Half our walking group have gone down with it ( not from us . We were away when I caught it and stayed away until we were negative)

Sarah4776 · 08/10/2023 19:25

I've never had covid

Goshdarnitgoofy · 08/10/2023 19:27

ive not had it, neither had my husband or child. We use public transport exclusively abc have been travelling abroad since it was allowed again in July 2020.

Craycraycatbaby · 08/10/2023 19:30

I've never had it, neither has my mum or son! My brother and dad have both had it though.

Edited to add I have never been careful to avoid it. Go to the pub, restaurants, have been on numerous holidays and work in an office. DC is in school and mum is a nurse.

Reigateforever · 08/10/2023 19:33

I have never knowingly had it, nor have I hidden away but worn a mask when it was suggested. I have a jab every 6 months and going this week for the latest varient.

gavisconismyfriend · 08/10/2023 19:34

Me, my mum, aunt and uncle, best friend, at least 6 other friends

jacqroberts68 · 08/10/2023 19:36

I’ve never had it and nursed my adult sons through it twice! The first time was much worse…I’ve probably jinxed myself now

OverTheCountryClub · 08/10/2023 19:37

I've never tested positive, nor has any of my household. I'm a teacher and have young dc in school and nursery. I don't know if we have just had it asymptomatically or what.

Nomag89 · 08/10/2023 19:46
