Some of the threads this weekend have genuinely shocked me. I'm an intelligent educated person with a law degree yet I can't begin to comprehend the complexities of the Isreal/Palestian situation and would dare to assert my judgment on it. Yet so many people on here are so confident in their knowledge and understanding that they're prepared to use it to justify the brutal murder of hundreds of innocent people. It beggars belief.

Totally agree

The situation in Israel is absolutely horrific and I can only see it getting worse.

Yes, reflects my thoughts.

Haven't watched Reeves speech as yet. Will hopefully catch up with it later.

Mark Carney’s endorsed her as the next chancellor.

She's very well qualified for the job and I find when she explains stuff she draws me in to listen to her. She's a great public and media speaker.

I have a busy day so just in case

I am impressed by Carney's confidence that we won't have a few more Chancellors before the next election.

I would suggest Sunak is not as confident in his position hence all the playing to different factions of the Tory party at the conference to avoid letters of no confidence going in, once his first year is up.
