What's your simple pleasure?

For me, today, it is sitting in the hammock under the trees listening to the radio while the sun shines.

At the weekend, letting the dog out first thing but then getting back into bed with a cup of tea and reading my book.

Walking Ddog around the fields, Swallows swooping & chirping while Red Kites circle high above.
Always reminds me that the best things in life are free.

Laying on my back in sea looking at the sky. Also walking around my garden fiddling with my potted plants. The best things in life really are free.

The perfectly soft boiled egg with soldiers, sprinkled with sumac, paprika, salt and pepper that I had for a quick lunch. Twas blooming golden and dippy 😋

A coffee really early in the morning before Dd is awake, in winter outside in the garden. When it’s all sunny and sparkly and frosty and I’m wrapped up in my dressing gown.

Sitting with coffee at dawn on a beautiful morning...before the world gets busy and noisy.

When the youngster gets home cycling from school.

Atm the September sunshine and warmth

That Friday night no alarm feeling! Nothing better than jumping into bed knowing I'm not going to wake up to that bastard.

Also the first night the Christmas tree is up. I stare at it all night.

Kissing the top of my cats soft little head.

Listening to birdsong early in the morning with a cup of coffee, swinging on the garden swing.

Cuddling the cat and him wrapping his paws around my neck in a proper, purry hug.

Coming in from hot sun to a glass of iced water or from cold rain to a fresh cup of tea.

Clean sheets and PJs after a long bath.

Generally getting that first strong coffee even though I get up at 440 am.
Today getting home to my much longed for kitten after losing my beloved in lockdown after 14 yrs.
That purr and playfulness.

Fresh crunchy bedding

Pre- dawn coffee by the pool with a freshly cracked book.

A digestive biscuit.

A clean warmed towel after a shower.

A pimms in the garden, while lying on my sun lounger, listening to bird song 🍹

Same. I feel all the stress floating away

A nice cup of tea and a sit down.
