What's your simple pleasure?

For me, today, it is sitting in the hammock under the trees listening to the radio while the sun shines.

Swimming on the beach. Preferably on an empty one in North Norfolk, and then sitting there, wrapped up, with a flask of tea watching the clouds scuttle by.

Sitting in bed with a cup of tea first thing, even (especially) on a work day. It happens very rarely!

Being outside in nature. Hills, mountains, lakes, beach, sea. No matter what weather, preferably alone or with one or two friends.

A walk in our local Victorian park watching the seasons change , the squirrels are in full foraging mode. Meeting my beautiful daughter for the day in her University city and visiting my elderly mum that I am thankful to still have with us . My father passed away but I have lovely memories forever. Sorry for your loss ❤️

Oh I forgot watching the birds eat from the bird feeders especially the pigeons who swing on the tray trying to get some food out of the mesh cones .

This is true. We're all blissed up by things that are either free or cost next to nothing - bread, tea, potted plants

Argyll is currently attempting to eat Dd2's banana by stealth (he hates banana, but when it is absolutely not his apparently it's delicious!) He loves being adored and showing off. His party piece is dive bombing DH from above when he falls asleep on the sofa in the evenings then running around the living room furniture at high speed, still jumping on him then flopping on me in a sprawl. He also has a blankie that Dd1 bought him which he lies on or cuddles into.

A day off with no plans and nobody in the house....utter bliss.

Watching the swifts screaming across the sky.

Sitting round a fire pit in a forest with friends.

Sitting in my garden (when it isn’t a building site), watching the sky grow dark

Finding something I've mislaid

A really good drumming session with a bunch of friends

Foot rubs

Carpets of bluebells in woods

Hugging loved ones, dogs included

Argyll now has an even wider fan base!

Just reading this thread is a whole new simple pleasure, I have come back to it several times a day and the posts on it makes me smile every time I do.

@MarkWithaC he is, he uses wood shaving in litter tray and is 99% reliable I put a puppy pad on the arm of the sofa until recently in case but now he just scuffs it out of the road and lies down and uses his trays.

That's amazing. I've known people with pet indoor rabbits that were much messier!

@MarkWithaC he does like eating the wall though!

Always loved a stroll in the woods, especially on a bright crisp autumn day. Doubly so now we've got into mushroom spotting.
A real ale in a proper pub
Fish and chips out of the paper on the sea front
Listening to the joyous sound of the school playground.
Watching the world go by from a train window

What about an ice cold sparkling water after a hot busy day.

The day the kids went back to school I ate lunch alone in peace. I ordered a massive takeaway pizza. No cooking. No cleaning up. I had cinnamon sticks too.
I watched trash on tv and I was so happy.

Listening to the radio in the dark at bedtime. Don't know why, just feels great! Think it's related to my childhood and only having an old cassette radio player and feeling 'naughty' for listening to it when I should have been asleep 😄
Also, my cats romping in the garden when they think I'm not looking. Ditto my dds reading or being absorbed in something, love watching their faces.
Seeing dh next to me in bed on the weekend. Also chatting to him in bed last thing at night or in the morning.
Having time to sit around and do little, life is busy most of the time so I enjoy time to...think!
