A bin. And grit salt. This is the mundanity of my purchases now. And don’t get too excited, but a pizza cutter is also being delivered imminently.

what mundane purchases have you bought recently? Tell me I’m not the only one buying bins.

They sound good but how do you get them all linked to one switch on the wall if you don’t need a sparky?, do they run on an app or something???

It's a continuous strip - like a roll of sellotape - with a plug at 1 end. Stick to underneath of the run of wall cabinets, plug into socket, done. (Trickier if you don't have a socket somewhere suitable, of course, but there's a metre or 2 of cable between the lights and the plug so there's some flexibility. And you can get ones that run on batteries.)

Edit to add link. This type of thing: www.screwfix.com/p/bendable-5m-led-tape-light-10w-1200lm/959fx

The Ziploc bag holders are from Amazon
I tried some home stores in my country but nobody had them.

Wow, these exist? Game changer, no more messy bags and drippy counters.

Thanks … irrationally happy!

Amazon for me! But not in the UK so you may be able to find them somewhere

Tea towel, dish cloths, and saline packets for sinus rinse.

I achieved my goal. £4 and I now have a Cookie dough scoop. Or the meanest ice cream scoop on the planet. Monday is bake day.

For those asking about jewellery cleaners, the one I have isn’t available on Amazon any more but I think this is the same make. Tbh I’ve not found one that’s lasted much longer than 3 years but this one is the best so far!

Thankyou! Ordered. :)

@Evenstar they are gorgeous!

Today: silicone lids to go on top of yoghurt pots.

CornedBeef451 · 28/08/2023 19:55

Today I ordered some houseplant soil because my avocado stone experiments are ready to pot up, a metal cafetière because I'm fed up of the glass ones breaking, a USB milk frother to go with the cafetière and some lobster claw oven mits that DD chose for DH's birthday.

I bought and placed new stove stickers this week. I am thrilled. The markers on my hob knobs (not the biscuits) have come off, partly thanks to Flash Kitchen spray which basically ruins them and I found a company (stovestickers.co.uk) and have new ones. It's just too exciting) I love them though.

A new secure looking bath mat which also looks comfortable to sit on when I have a bath as I'm finding it difficult to get myself out of the tub these days. Will also make me feel more stable when showering as it seems to have a good grip on the bottom of the bathtub. 🌹

I am half worried that my update might trigger the spamming that has been happening all night.
But.......
I bought a garlic rocker. A little metal gadget for mincing a clove of garlic with less parts than a garlic press. $5
Let's see how it goes.

Oooh I like the sound of this! Please update us with how it goes!

My latest is a lint brush thingy. It would seem my child's new navyuniform and our tan coloured bunny rabbit are not a fabulous combination 😂

If it is the same one I have, I have reverted to using a knife. The garlic gets stuck in the holes on the rocker and is annoying to clean.
