Whatever happened to - Timotei shampoo??

One of the biggest brands of my 80s childhood and 90s early adult hood. The woman with the long golden hair frolicking by a waterfall, and a horse (?) Huge selling brand, it was everywhere and everyone used it.

Then at some point it completely disappeared. What happened? Was it replaced by "Because I'm worth it" and the Herbal Essences woman?

It does still exist! The only place I know that sells it is superdrug, they do 3 different kinds. It's my daughter's favorite shampoo.
Maybe they got ousted by herbal essences and the woman making sex noises whilst washing her hair 🤔

You can still buy timotei in superdrug it's just not as popular anymore. I remember my mum always buying the pink one.

That takes me back! I remember begging my mum to get it because I completely fell for the marketing I thought it would transform my frizzy mane into smooth flowing locks

Mini rant, I hate those Herbal Essences ads. All that swishing and hair wafting. Grrr!

On a Sunday night before school on a Monday I would use Timotei to shampoo then Flex conditioner, it was bright yellow and like slapping custard on your hair. I can still remember the smell of it.

I used to love the original one in the green and white bottle. I didn't need conditioner when I used it.

I just googled it and it is still around 😮 but it's 15 quid a bottle! Wonder if it still smells the same

I loved Timotei. I'm sure there was a honey version too??
I miss flex too but most of all I miss the Vidal Sassoon shampoo and conditioner that smelt of marzipan in the brown bottles 😢😢😢

Oh I think I remember Flex conditioner too - large chunky bottles in bright 80s colours? My mum "didn't believe" in conditioner and made my sister and i have short hair until we were about 13 so we didn't ever have it - my childhood shampoo was always Vosene.

Conditioner was an absolute revlelation.

Oh Flex conditioner! I was as a bus stop aged 17 and a man told me I smelled nice... it was the Flex! Can smell it now!!

There used to be a shampoo called Elseve Balsam that had the best smell I ever smelt.
