Yea I know it’s the first proper hot day, but I’m already suffering. I have a splitting headache that painkillers won’t touch. Always happens when it’s hot.

I get heat exhaustion really easily

Yep I hate it too. Just finished a 13 hour shift and I feel revolting.

Me too. With hay fever from hell on top. I truly hate this time of year 🥵🤧

Hate it. The nights are the worst, no sleep, headaches and sweaty uncomfortable body.

It’s when it gets hot like this, is when I’m glad me and dh don’t share a bed. I couldn’t cope with another hot body pressed next to me

I've found my people! I just keep telling myself that it only happens for a few days each year, so I just need to get thru it ...

Not keen on it at night. Can't even open the windows as bastard cat climbs out onto the roof and can't get down. I had to get the fire brigade out and can't do that again!
Days are tolerable - was looking forward to the thunderstorm but it hasn't materialised.

My poor dh is suffering badly from hay fever and he has asthma too so it’s double whammy for him.

He’s utterly miserable

Could you get one of those screens across the window? Like a mesh type thing. So you can have it open and no cat to get out

I get this. I do my best not to complain as it's just weather. I bought a kiddies' paddling pool and put it outside in the shade filled with cold water. I get in and soak whenever I can. Even in the middle of the night if I wake up hot. Or a cold bath. (Not a good idea of course if you have toddlers - drowning risk). The longer you stay in the better. I got the idea from a friend who grew up in a very hot part of Africa. Not helpful when you're at work of course but lovely before bed.

Our garden gets no shade, and our paddling pool is currently in a storage locker as we are trying to move.

We have the basic essentials in the house and that’s it.

I normally like it hot despite being a fat, sweaty ginger, but unfortunately for me, I have caught yet another cold from my beautiful two year old granddaughter.
My head is full of buckets of green snot, I can't breathe and my chest hurts. My horrendous sore throat from yesterday has gone though so that's a blessing.
Anyway it's dark and brooding here with thunder and lightning rolling around so hopefully won't be too uncomfortable tonight.

Signing in for my moan too. Hayfever not controlled even by fexofenadine and I also hate the heat. Being overweight and menopausal doesn't help. Just think: less than 2 weeks to the longest day now, and then the year turns.

I detest the heat. I don’t sweat at all just get redder and redder.

My hay-fever is out of control and my teething baby keeps being woken by thunder / rain, so will currently only sleep on me. Our house is 28C according to the gro egg thing 🥵

I love warm weather up until about 25/26 degrees. I think that's the tipping point in the UK (or at least where I live) where for some reason instead of blue sky and beaming sun it becomes cloudy, muggy and doesn't cool down at night.

I made the mistake of going bra shopping today and what a workout it was.

This is what I do too, count down the days until the Summer solstice and the days getting shorter again.
I have really been grateful for the colder than usual May this year though.

I've been out in it all day today and have caught the sun on my neck and chest. I've had to water the sunflowers several times because they kept going floppy. My dc have been sitting in the living room with the curtains closed for most of the day because it's cooler.

I absolutely hate it. I have a condition called Addisons - I always feel hot anyway - even in winter I rarely wear a jumper. dehydration can be life-threatening for me, and I HATE the hot weather. I'm in London, but if we have another year like last year I seriously am thinking of moving to Scotland, or Norway!

I hate hot weather too. I get a sweaty arse and upper lip. I love it when there is a huge thunderstorm after a few days of hot weather

Are you all the same people who moan about the cold weather and the cost of heating in winter?

35w pregnant here and hating it already. Next week looks even hotter, especially Tues and Wed at 27'c 🥵

I hate it too. Confined to the house today as too hot outside but tomorrow i have a oool party for my DD so will have to be
out & I hate it, I have a banging headache, my face is hot, my feet are hot, I can’t sleep, my poor dog can’t be walked. Arrrrgggh! I just want nice, pleasant days!

Am I hell. I love it when it's colder because I can put extra layers on and get under a blanket. I hate being hot and sticky.

@Soubriquet I have velux windows. Do you think a mesh would work? I've only seen them for normal windows
