Hot weather moaning thread (those who like it hot, need not apply)

Yea I know it’s the first proper hot day, but I’m already suffering. I have a splitting headache that painkillers won’t touch. Always happens when it’s hot.

I get heat exhaustion really easily

It's not only a few days here in the SE. I'm preparing for 3 months, on and off. 29 degrees here today

Nope love it. Can’t wait for autumn/ Winter. We gave in and bought an air con unit. I know it’s not great but today staying inside with it on has made it bearable. Just dreading all the days out planned by the enthusiastic summer lot.

Aha I have found my people! I am really struggling with the heat. I am rubbish at dressing for it and don’t want to buy new clothes as a) I need all my spare cash for impending house purchase and b) having fertility issues and find clothes shopping really triggering and upsetting right now.

I was off sick from work on Fri and a colleague said oh it’s rubbish being sick when it’s sunny as you can’t enjoy it. I was never going to enjoy it!

Signing in for my moan too.
I work in an nhs hospital in the Trusts offices. Our air conditioning is a complete joke and makes you feel ill within 30 minutes of it being on... work next week will be a joy.

Also don't understand why EVERYTHING sells out in the supermarket.. I went at 11am to Tesco, all the people perusing the burgers and sausages aisles for their bbqs.. I just want to do my weekly shop.

More than anything i hate seeing men walk down the street with their tops off when it suddenly goes over 27 degrees.

Rant over.

I am cranky and grumpy and just FURIOUS with the world right now. This heat can do one. And it’s going to get worse, right?

I absolutely hate it. And I'm pissed off because I was promised thunder storms today and didn't get one 😡
It's not been hotter than 25 degrees so 30 plus will be an abomination.
I had heat stroke last year and ended up in a&e.

This is what I do too, count down the days until the Summer solstice and the days getting shorter again.
I have really been grateful for the colder than usual May this year though

You could be me writing this! I just wish we didn't know it's going to get hotter as the days and weeks roll sweatily on. Still, we made it to end of May without a heatwave so it's good! We can do this....

I’m on antibiotics that make me sensitive to sunlight my nose got burnt on the school run on Wednesday and it was cloudy. Sunny hot days are no fun.

Hate the heat so so much ! It’s like torture to me, I also feel unreasonably annoyed when folk say they love it n say I should enjoy it. I don’t say anything when they moan all winter ! This winter I shall say wear more layers n shut up lol

I am from a hot country and I still fucking hate hot weather!. Also, I live in a falt that gets very hot. ( It's great in winter).

I do like lying in the park though.

Also the tourists! In London. ( yes I know the economy needs it).

I also find hot weather dressing so much tougher. In autumn or winter I just wear jeans. And a coat covers up a multitude of sins.

Flat cat screens should, they work on most windows

It's just been nice and warm here. The first really nice day of the year and a change from the incessant cold and rain. I did a sponsored walk this afternoon. I think each area has its own microclimate as I often see posts about heat when it is not too hot here.

I love Autumn and winter, sparkly spider webs, mist in the valley, a nip in the air. I love drizzly days too.

dreading the heat this summer, especially at night and when working. I really dislike having the sun in my eyes too, makes me so irritated!

I absolutely hate it. I have a condition called Addisons - I always feel hot anyway - even in winter I rarely wear a jumper. dehydration can be life-threatening for me, and I HATE the hot weather. I'm in London, but if we have another year like last year I seriously am thinking of moving to Scotland, or Norway!

Hate to break it to you but I’ve just got back from Norway and it was very hot there 🤣

Years ago I'd have decided you were all a bunch of miseries. Now, I am firmly in your camp. 13 mo DD's bedroom is 26 degrees, she's in a short sleeve vest. I'm worried she's still too hot but there's literally nothing I can do about it, she won't settle in just a nappy. Have ordered an AC unit but may not arrive until Wednesday. Wrestling a toddler in this heat is no fun. Plus my absolute dickhead neighbours are behaving like they're the only ones that live on this estate. I fucking hate them and can never enjoy a nice day as it's basically ruined by their shite taste in music and loudmouth friends. I'm going to have to shut the windows and sweat to death as my autistic brain is on the verge of a meltdown from the noise. Arghhhhh.

No, sorry, I have it worst because I have to take the Tube, along with sweaty men in vest tops with their hairy armpits shoved in my face.
