What is something you do/eat/drink that you know is bad for you but can't stop?

Mine is Coke Zero. I just fucking love it. Only one a day, rarely 2. I have tried to quite by not having any in the house but then I just end up at the corner shop and paying even more for it!

Crisps. Just can't stop. Sometimes I manage a couple of weeks without but the cravings always come back.

Ostryga · 24/05/2023 11:52

Cheese. I have to not buy any as I can and will sit and eat all of it in minutes. Blue cheese especially.

orangegato · 24/05/2023 11:53

Peanut butter with a spoon. Not too healthy when I get through 1kg tub a week.

Also about 3 diet sodas per day.

I’ve consumed worse things in my youth 😂

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 24/05/2023 11:53

Full fat coke. I’ve cut down enormously but still have a can a week.

JJJSchmidt · 24/05/2023 11:53

Fizzy sweets and biscuits

MoggyMittens23 · 24/05/2023 11:54

@orangegato bloody hell that's a lot of peanut butter!

@Lastqueenofscotland2 that's amazing, well done

Also cheese as PP said. I am like a moth to a flame for calorie dense food.

Tried not buying cheese, peanut butter etc. I think my body overtakes my brain and levitates me to the shops and forces me.

MoggyMittens23 · 24/05/2023 11:55

@EversoDisorganised any particular crisps? What's your go to?

orangegato · 24/05/2023 11:56

@MoggyMittens23 I fantasise about how much I’d weigh if I didn’t do it. I do exercise pretty much every day so managed not to balloon, so far…

ItsCalledAConversation · 24/05/2023 11:59

As a newly reformed ex smoker and pothead I give myself 6 months of leeway on this so have been revelling in my bad habits.

Sweets allllll the sweets, particularly in bed at night
Burgers. Burger at the cafe because it’s a Tuesday. Quick cheeseburger because I’m walking past McDonalds. Burger on the menu in the pub. Mmmm.
Making sour cream and chive dip and then eating it all (probably 3-400g in two days) on crisps, none of that crudités malarkey
Chinese
Mi Goreng noodles

There are probably more. In between these attacks of sheer gluttony I do eat reasonably well, very active etc etc.

Wimpeyspread · 24/05/2023 11:59

Cheese and chocolate

MoggyMittens23 · 24/05/2023 11:59

@orangegato I think if you try to be healthy in other ways then these little vices. Aren’t so bad. Right?! I would love to kick My habit though

Chocolate covered rice cakes. Eat far too many of them.

Squirrelsnut · 24/05/2023 12:09

Maccy's strawberry milkshakes. I've been known occasionally to have THREE in one day (very premenstrual though). I eat Mediterranean as far as possible and avoid UPFs. But dang I love those shakes.

Sonotlaidback · 24/05/2023 12:09

Cheesy, carb heavy foods. Pizza, pasta, toasties.

Love nothing more than a nice cheesy pizza or a pasta dish full of chorizo and covered in Parmesan.

mrsbitaly · 24/05/2023 12:09

Cappuccinos I just can't stop

SapatSea · 24/05/2023 12:11

Chocolate - high quality dark stuff too. "Only need a few squares" - ha, 90g bar gone!

defi · 24/05/2023 12:23

Oh where to start

Ramen noodles
Rubicon fizzy drinks
Iced lattes

SquashPenguin · 24/05/2023 12:29

Sugar free red bull. I can’t live without it.

EveryLittleWish · 24/05/2023 12:35

Mine is Diet Coke but I usually go days( or even weeks) without one before giving in. Once I give in, I end up drinking 2-3 a day for a few days and then I quit again hahaha. It sounds like a diet .

BritInAus · 24/05/2023 12:35

Biscuits. I could easily eat a packet with a cup of tea.

Magnoliainbloom · 24/05/2023 12:38

i used to have a Nerds habit. It’s pure evil.

begaydocrime42 · 24/05/2023 12:53

Vaping and wacky tobaccy, wine, instant noodles. I mean all of those are done in moderation but I'd probably be healthier if I cut use down completely.

EversoDisorganised · 24/05/2023 12:57

MoggyMittens23 · 24/05/2023 11:55

Just about any really, I mix it up. Love Pringles. I also love Smokey Bacon crisps but you don't see them very often now.

I can never totally give up Diet Coke either, I rarely drink alcohol so tend to drink it when I go out, it quenches my thirst like nothing else on a hot day. But I do stick to about one a week so not too bad.
