What is something you do/eat/drink that you know is bad for you but can't stop?

Mine is Coke Zero. I just fucking love it. Only one a day, rarely 2. I have tried to quite by not having any in the house but then I just end up at the corner shop and paying even more for it!

Crisps. Just can't stop. Sometimes I manage a couple of weeks without but the cravings always come back.

Me too. All the crisps.

Maccy's strawberry milkshakes. I've been known occasionally to have THREE in one day (very premenstrual though). I eat Mediterranean as far as possible and avoid UPFs. But dang I love those shakes.

What's a UPF?

A McDonald's latte and large chips every time I drop my daughter off at her swimming training sessions. At least twice a week, sometimes three. I really need to stop.

SirenSays · 24/05/2023 16:51

Salted caramel milkshakes and runts sweets

SallyWD · 24/05/2023 16:54

I get through 2 or 3 large blocks of cheese a week!

thenightsky · 24/05/2023 17:05

Skittles. I have to have a family sized pack in the middle bit of the car where I can reach in and grab a handful at a time if I have to drive longer than about 20 mins.

NewKidOnTheBlock99 · 24/05/2023 17:08

Coffee - makes me feel vile, jittery, anxious and can’t think straight - I also spend a fortune on it. Sometimes I don’t even fancy it but I have it because of the habit!!

Sugar - have to have something sweet after every meal and I literally want to eat whatever it is until I feel physically sick.

TheBucketWoman · 24/05/2023 17:12

Avocado. Just love them. I could get through 2 a week.

KohlaParasaurus · 24/05/2023 17:45

Chocolate. But if I try to give it up I don't replace the calories with nutritious food, I head for the biscuits or non-chocolate sweets instead.

Neverinamonthofsundays · 24/05/2023 17:50

Red wine
Scampi fries
Sour jellies

HelpMeGetThrough · 24/05/2023 17:51

Booze, fags and caffeine.

Beginning to wonder how I'm still alive. I'll have a smoke and consider that.

2 a week is excellent. Very good for you indeed. In this case keep this up!

Caffeine. I can honestly say even 3 teas a day is too many since the menopause. I need to bring it down to 2. It sounds like nothing but it wd really help the few remaining symptoms I have.

Exact same here

Cas112 · 24/05/2023 17:59

Chocolate

restisall · 24/05/2023 18:02

Biscuits
A lot of processed sliced bread
Normally wine but currently pregnant so that’s off the menu for now

Surprised by people saying peanut butter! Obviously it’s high calorie but the decent ones are fairly nutritious right?

SquatBetty · 24/05/2023 18:04

Sugar - especially ice cream. I can eat a 500ml tub of Ben and Jerry's in one sitting, easily. If I have too much sugar in one go I get a bit lightheaded and feel unwell but does it stop me? Of course it fucking doesn't.

This is why I am fat

evtheria · 24/05/2023 18:08

Indomie mi goreng instant noodles
I don't eat them often at all, but I haven't 'stopped'.

Chocolate - it's not the dark stuff full of antioxidants or whatever, it's just regular Maltesers and daim bars, etc. I eat the stuff every week!

BHRK · 24/05/2023 18:12

Crisps, Diet Coke and daily chocolate. Diet is otherwise very healthy so I have no intention of giving them up. Not overweight

It wasn’t me that posted it but I do enjoy a plain spoonful of it as a snack sometimes. I think it’s one of those foods which can seem more healthy than it is unless you’ve read the ingredients and been discerning about it. It’s often quite high in salt and has added oil (often palm), sometimes sugar as well. The ones that are 100% peanuts are definitely less addictive than the standard ones!

tommyshelbysbunnit · 24/05/2023 18:17

Chocolate, especially a full bar of the Aldi caramel one 🤢

Terrribletwos · 24/05/2023 18:24

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 24/05/2023 11:53

Full fat coke. I’ve cut down enormously but still have a can a week.

Oh god, zero coke is totally vile and tastes like chemicals! But I do like original coke and feel that's it the only thing that satiates my thirst...especially with a hangover!
have a predeliction for cheesy wotsits, don't know why as they start getting on my nerves half way through!

CrumbliestCrumble · 24/05/2023 18:25

Red bull. Large can a day!

Pepsi max 2 litres a day!

Chocolate easily over 100g a day.

Cake daily.

HikerMum · 24/05/2023 18:37

Ringtons chocolate brazil biscuits. 2 is fine, 3 and I feel sick but somehow I always eat 3!

LapinR0se · 24/05/2023 18:47

I have too much coffee and too much wine every day. I make up for this by doing Botox to hide the wrinkles
