Is this message calling my DS ugly?

NC as outing
A message was posted on the class group chat that specifically referred to my instagram page. I assume it was meant to be sent to another group chat. It was quickly deleted. DH thinks I am looking too much into it. My Instagram is private but lots of the parents follow each other. I am friendly with them but not friends.
The message said " 4 pictures of DS on the swings. She really thinks that boy is special. We all think our children are beautiful"

I don’t think she’s calling your son ugly but is certainly being bitchy about how much you share .. I would simply delete that person from your life and block from your social media!! She’s toxic!

I'd be tempted to comment with something like "Making snide comments and then deleting them. She really is a coward. Everyone with a backbone would have the bollocks to say it to my face,".

I’d block her on Instagram and then share a post on there pointing out to other mums that if they have an issue with you sharing photos… on a platform designed specifically to share photos… then please feel free to unfollow me!….. I’ve already blocked one nasty bitch… and welcome others to remove themselves!

I disagree and don’t think you should try to publicly humiliate her. Sure, what she said wasn’t kind, but there is no expectation or rule that we have to be kind every minute of the day or in private chats with our friends.

The anxiety she must me feeling over whether you did or didn’t see it can be a good enough consequence for messaging carelessly.

The anxiety is over being caught out being bitchy and unpleasant. It's self inflicted and it's a good consequence if her nastiness.

Doesn't mean the op should just ignore it though, if they'd rather speak about it. The horrible poster deserves to be called out in her bad behaviour.

I think all children are special you celebrate them just how you please you'll receive no judgement from me. She obviously watches your posts that way she will see if , die inside that you saw and you don't have to make the other parents feel awkward posting in a group chat.
