Doesn’t really go with the suit though.

I can't comment - I am too busy laughing at the "original" poem and then at the infinitely superior "additions". I've always hated poetry. #nomore

IrisVersicolor · 18/08/2022 21:20

That poem is an absolutely dumpable offence.

CandyLeBonBon · 18/08/2022 21:24

Simon Armitage, move over.

PS why is he carrying a Hermes (possibly) handbag? I really, really need to know

It’s a Mulberry bag

(completely misses point of tread 🙄)

CPL593H · 18/08/2022 21:27

Giggs

Oh Auden of the left midfield
You've had your day, now time to yield
Your doggerel is utter crap
And fish and chips not fit to wrap.

Of Man U once you were a star
But now you've fallen very far
One once accustomed to loud cheers
Must now resign to hearing jeers

(Sorry)

ilkleymoorbartat · 18/08/2022 21:34

The best thing about this bit 'I love you to the next planet those clever f at Nasa finds' is how passive aggressive he is towards NASA. Like what have nasa ever done to you Ryan, of course they're clever you idiot.

“When I think of you, I tug my cock
Until it’s as hard as a fucking rock
You're truly the best shag I’ve had in my life
Even better than my brother’s wife.”

You are a beautiful wordsmith.

Here is the poem by Ryan Giggs. <drum roll>

'Unequivocally our love was fate. I fell in love with you at first sight. I remember cos I was as high as a kite.
'Those beautiful eyes made me shiver.
'I'm not going to lie I think of you I dream of you. Can't help thinking pulling you was my greatest ever coup.
'That stomach, those abs, those pictures you send so I can keep tabs.

'You make me feel funny down there. Especially when you're there and you look up and stare.
'I am beginning to think you are always right. That's ok it will keep us tight.
'I'm gonna end by saying you are my love, my friend, my soul.
'And most of all you believe in me which makes me as hard as a totem pole.'

Oh. My. God.

That's ... incredible. I didn't hear the update from today.

I know the case is very serious & listening to the evidence is awful; but imagine this being read out in court ...!

Just point of information, he didn't write coup, but coo in his poem to Kate. 'Pulling you was my greatest ever coo'

The poem was written in response to a poem by Kate Greville to him, which included the line "every day you do me proud, because you’re well endowed".

Sounds like they were well matched. In the literary stakes anyway

Oh that's amazing.

'My greatest ever coo'. 😂

I didn’t think a footie related court case could be more moving than Wagatha C.

there once was a poet called Ryan
whose rhyming was said to be fyan
but when read out in court
the judge said he thought
his scansion deserved to do tyam.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 18/08/2022 22:09

"every day you do me proud, because you’re well endowed"

doesn't scan

every day you do me proud, because you ARE SO well endowed

surely?

Sparklingbrook · 18/08/2022 22:09

I was quite impressed with ‘Unequivocally’. It started quite strongly. And finished with a totem pole.

Really made me laugh 🤣😂

Frolicinameadow · 18/08/2022 22:11

My lady parts have shrivelled up and died after reading that poem. Horrendous. I can see why he looks so shame faced in that pic, fuck knows it’s not down to the public knowing about his behaviour!

Nospringchickendipper · 18/08/2022 22:19

I haven’t laugh at anything the way I’ve laughed at that poem. Ryan I’m cringing for you .
There is no way back for Ryan Giggs I’m embarrassed for him.

LizzieSiddal · 18/08/2022 22:25

It’s gloriously embarrassing isn’t it. And I bet he’s used the exact same lines on the other eight women he was having “full on” relationships whilst he was courting Kate.

He will have to write some new ones now 🤣
