Things you call your neighbours

Met our new neighbours properly for the first time today and they told us they’ve called us ‘Mr and Mrs Metalhead’ for weeks because they didn’t know our names Blush we were actually listening to ABBA today whilst gardening which confused/amused them! Perhaps we’re now Mr and Mrs ABBA instead.

It made me think of all the names I’ve given neighbours in the past: we’ve had ‘Angela with the hair’ (her name turned out to be Carole), ‘Big Dog Man’, ‘Small Dog Lady’, ‘Purple Lady’, ‘Shouty Man’ and simply ‘Keith’ (who may not have been called Keith at all)

What do you call your nameless neighbours? Grin

Bonglo senior and bonglo junior.
Bonglo is short for bonglaterre, a made up generic family word originally for English tourists we met in France mainly who refuse to learn any basic french, shout louder in English expecting to be understood, taught a French campsite chef to 'cook English' so they got a roast dinner to their liking on Sundays.
My then 6 year old coined the term, and it's been transferred to our neighbours who were offended we objected to them spray painting their fence as it was leaving paint stripes on our windows through the gaps, knocked on our door and objected to us parking outside our house and generally just being a bit entitled. Father and son in their 50's, 70's and they are nice just a bit thoughtless and self centered.

Sorry that's so long!

We have Next Door one side, The (Surname)’s the other side, The Two Dads opposite, The Neat’n’Tidies backing on to our garden and the Teletubbies up the road (nothing to do with shape - they are an adult family of 3 who have a rather endearing habit of stopping and pointing at things of interest in other people’s homes and gardens and discussing them amongst themselves, in a Teletubby-like manner Grin)
