Yes - mine's in the shed round the back - please do pop by and put it up!

Shedcity · 28/05/2022 17:46

No. I’m genuinely shocked anyone is.

supadupapupascupa · 28/05/2022 17:48

Not yet. Raining tomorrow so will wait. But I've 20 meters to split between the street and the back garden

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2022 17:51

I'll happily put it outside your house Grin

I'd do mine but I'm a first floor flat so pretty impossible!

yesthatisdrizzle · 28/05/2022 17:53

I have bunting and I'm going to use it. 😂

Also, tomorrow I'm going to the garden centre to buy some red, white and blue flowers to plant in tubs outside the front door.

That will be pretty much the limit of my involvement, because I'm getting the rest of the family to organise whatever else they want to do. There's a street party down our road, so I will probably turn up at that for an hour or two.

Dundonian · 28/05/2022 17:56

I'm in Scotland and we're having a village party. I'll be putting some bunting up shortly!

Jasmine5552 · 28/05/2022 17:57

No I won't be joining in the jubilee celebrations. Each to their own.

TeenPlusCat · 28/05/2022 17:57

Absolutely yes. 3 sets of bunting and one giant flag went up yesterday. Still have a medium flag and 2 small flags on sticks to up up too. I've had little enough to celebrate/enjoy over the past couple of years, and I think the Queen being a constant presence for 70 years is a happy occasion that I won't see again in my lifetime.

crocidura · 28/05/2022 17:58

In Wales and no sign of the jubilee here, unsurprisingly. I work in tv and lots of people here are reluctantly on jubilee events (including me). One friend confided that she's made peace with it by buying some red dragon knickers to wear 🙈

Oioicaptain · 28/05/2022 17:59

Absolutely. The whole street is and we're having a street party. It's a good excuse for a gathering.

TabithaTittlemouse · 28/05/2022 17:59

Nothing in our sleepy little village. I do like the Queen but she never celebrates my achievements so I’m not celebrating hers.
The nearest I’ve got to any celebration is watching Grayson Perry’s Jubilee show. That was good.

EatSleepReplete · 28/05/2022 18:01

if I did, mine would say Vive La Révolution.

feellikeanalien · 28/05/2022 18:02

No. DD and I are going abroad on holiday for the first time in 8 years so will be avoiding any jubilee celebrations (although I might watch the concert at Buckingham Palace!!)

Haven't seen any in our village yet which is quite surprising. Maybe they're all secret republicans.

ofwarren · 28/05/2022 18:04

We will be
Our town centre is awash with flags and other jubilee decor. It looks wonderful.
We are attending a jubilee picnic in the church garden, not having a street party though.

Happylittlethoughts · 28/05/2022 18:05

Thought would never occur to me. No. Never

generalh · 28/05/2022 18:06

Hell no. Not even celebrating it.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/05/2022 18:06

Yes

SpaghettiSquash · 28/05/2022 18:07

We have a large Union Flag we'll be putting up on Thursday.

leotardrock · 28/05/2022 18:11

Yep! Official platinum jubilee bunting with lots of pictures of thee Queen on it! 😀

LynneBenfield · 28/05/2022 18:16

No, have no hugely anti-Queen feelings though. I’m just not a bunting kinda girl.

Silvercatowner · 28/05/2022 18:17

Hell no. I tried to find some anarchy bunting but failed. I have been playing Sex Pistols quite loudly...

Weegiewtf · 28/05/2022 18:22

God no. So tacky and embarrassing.
No celebration for the lizard queen here

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 28/05/2022 18:22

Shedcity · 28/05/2022 17:46

No. I’m genuinely shocked anyone is.

Are you English? If so you must have the lowest shock threshold going. How can any adult be even mildly surprised that celebrating royal events is a thing?

girlmom21 · 28/05/2022 18:24

generalh · 28/05/2022 18:06

Hell no. Not even celebrating it.

Bet you'll take advantage of the bank holiday though..

ChimChimeny · 28/05/2022 18:27

We weren't but then I saw this street near us & decided to buy some. Couldn't get Union Jack so just got red/white/blue.

It's going up tomorrow out the front where the Christmas lights go up usually
