oh go on

Oh, ok then. As it's you. I'll be there in ten.Grin

ResentfulLemon · 28/05/2022 17:05

I'm a little disappointed that you're not actually asking someone to decorate your house.

That aside, I barely decorate for Christmas - a celebration of a rich old lady not dying...definitely more effort than I can be arsed with. Bunting does look lovely though.

FabulouslyFab · 28/05/2022 17:06

I have bunting inside my window. Home made bunting is a class in our local agricultural show industrial tent at the end of the month so it serves two purposes. Our local primary school has bunting out and they held a jubilee tea party on the village green yesterday which was great fun.
There’s a village thing next Saturday in the village but I don’t like the guy that’s organising it so will steer clear and go and enjoy the festivities in town four miles away. 🇬🇧
(waves to anyone that recognises me 😂)

TimBoothseyes · 28/05/2022 17:07

No, but I have zero interest in the jubilee anyway.

Daenerys77 · 28/05/2022 17:07

I'll do yours if you do mine.
I should warn you though, mine will have UP THE REVOLUTION written all over it.

NotQuiteUsual · 28/05/2022 17:09

I'm not, but I got some face paints. Do you want a wonky Union Jack on your cheek?

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 28/05/2022 17:13

Bunting not so much. But we do have a local outbreak of jubilee door wreaths.
it’s a local thing, not contagious!

Hallyup89 · 28/05/2022 17:14

No, but some of our neighbours have and they're having a street party at some point. We won't be joining in.

Electriq · 28/05/2022 17:14

Yes

girlmom21 · 28/05/2022 17:15

We might because my 3 year old loves the neighbour's bunting

wonkylegs · 28/05/2022 17:15

Nope but our village is covered in the stuff, and hundreds of flags so I think they've got it more than covered. It's an explosion of colourful plastic which makes me a bit bah humbug.
We were generally going to ignore it all but our very lovely neighbours have invited us to a party so we will go, be polite and enjoy cake and drinks.

If there’s decorating required, you are clearly the woman to do my house.

Lol, @Daenerys77, I like your style!

Cocolapew · 28/05/2022 17:20

My town is covered by in Union Jacks and flags with the Queen on them but I live in predominantly loyalist town in NI so it was expected.

Shoopshoopshoopshoopshoop · 28/05/2022 17:20

No but maybe if I found some that wasn’t brexity

bananaboats · 28/05/2022 17:21

Scotland here too, no bunting to be seen!

PonyoLovesSouske · 28/05/2022 17:23

No. I think it's poor taste to celebrate being born into wealth when so many are struggling right now.

Whole thing is a huge waste of money.

Heli1copter · 28/05/2022 17:24

Yeah also Scotland and zero bunting round here. The local primary school is doing something next week but its generally being ignored. I'm looking forward to a quiet long weekend in the Highlands, hoping the tourists don't bring flags, bunting or other nonsense with them.

OnaBegonia · 28/05/2022 17:24

@Purplecatshopaholic
I was a bit taken aback with my local tesco putting up bloody signs everywhere. Nobody is the least bit interested.
Although we do bunting well( local well known children's fair) which is fast approaching.

Travelwiththree · 28/05/2022 17:26

Definitely not. Haven't seen any flags in our village.

christmastreewithhairyfairy · 28/05/2022 17:29

No because I don't support the monarchy but I will be enjoying the street party like the massive hypocrite that I am

Arnaque · 28/05/2022 17:30

No haven't seen any houses around me in South Wales either

Purplemist · 28/05/2022 17:35

No. I did see some bunting in the street but on closer inspection it was for the Liverpool match/es.

millerpie · 28/05/2022 17:39

Our little village has started to decorate, it’s all gone a bit mad. There’s some lovely crochet bunting up that must of taken someone all year to make. There’s red white and blue hanging baskets on quite a few of the houses and I saw my neighbour building some sort of giant corgi for the scarecrow trail on Thursday.

Soubriquet · 28/05/2022 17:39

Nope.

couldn’t care less about this jubilee. The sooner it’s over the better
