Is this the thread in which he gets more fines?

I do hope so, can't wait to hear the next round of excuses, whatabouts, squirrels and dead cats brings.

I just wonder how long we have to wait - elections are over now.

The loss of 480+ seats gave us some answers.

The police and SH report need to give us the rest.

Can't believe that he still has people backing him. They must be really dim. Nobody with half a brain would support him.

It takes a while to get over those losses....

To be fair it looks pretty half hearted from where I am sitting.

Been saying this all along.

I can't link to the original article which is in the Times called The Greased Piglet of Number 10.

Cameron's nickname for Johnson was the greased piglet. Grin

Seems rather rude on pigs.

Especially given Cameron's history.

Some mistake surely? I am reliably informed that those in the photo are just IT support because Boris doesn't know how to use a computer (he's not very bright, see also not knowing when he is at his own birthday party). You can tell they ae IT support by the way they are wearing tinsel.

Sasha interesting post on last thread, it’s full so can’t quote

re Nandy v Hunt

I don’t think Starmer will budge but I did hear Hunt decided not to say something after all - after local election. Very vague but they then said maybe not going for it (R4)

Can I just add to this thread that jgw1 your posts are making me laugh so hard.

I love a dry sense of humour and you portray it brilliantly through the screen 😃

As much as I think the Keira beer should be investigated just for transparency.

I would be very surprised if KS did something against the law.

As much as I have been disappointed in his ability to turn the Labour party around I've always felt he takes his duties towards the law as a lawyer seriously.

Imo Boris knew cake gate and the garden parties which were labelled as parties were against the law at worst and against the spirit of the guidance at best.

Imo KS would believe his actions were within the law and the spirit of the guidance.

I just hope the investigation is fair knowing that if he's fined he's very likely morally going to have to resign and will.

And one of the replies links to article with photographic proof of De Spaffle proper socialising inside a pub a week after Beergate, when it was still completely against the law for him to do so.

Somewhat misleading tweet - the Mirror have used a photo from the Christmas Quiz 15 December 2020 - the article says the fines are dropping for the Christmas party 18 December 2020 - one of the gatherings Boris Johnson did not attend.

There is also a link to a Times article

However, @cazjwheeler @HarryYorke1 have a source who says they’re willing to tell Durham Police that Starmer didn’t go back to work after, as Labour has claimed
twitter.com/PippaCrerar/status/1523000636178337792?t=5U9Ku34at-FbYEmjAYha6Q&s=19

A source claiming 'to the best of my knowledge'

It’s difficult because he called for others to resign when investigated even, let alone fined so he’s painted himself into a corner somewhat

Looking past that (as it does feel hypocritical) I actually think it would be a big shame if he resigned.

You know I still wonder about what went on at Chequers - they made regular trips . Carrie Johnson doesn't strike me as someone who enjoys a quiet weekend in the country.
I guess we will never know.
